I have posted a few replies and figured I had better post my into here.
I'm a disabled vet with just shy of 10 years service in the Navy flying helos.
I been a self employed logging contractor , so hence my nickname, "Woodhick"
So that should tell you where I stand with the tree huggers. :rotf:
I was raised in small community and still live in the same one now.
I like most conservatives, am fed up with the total disregard of the Constitution from the same politicians who took an oath to protect and defend it.
I as many folks took the same oath. I have always firmly believed that the oath I took was for LIFE , not just for the time served in the military.
I also firmly believe we need to take back our republic, not by violence, but by casting a vote for the most qualified person , and knowing who that is through research of their background of their stance on issues.
I look forward to sharing and discussion of thoughts on issues with conservative minded folks.
Hope I can be an asset to this forum.
Thanks
Fred

Deb you are quiet welcome, my pleasure.
I was out of the service for 20 plus years before anyone ever told me thnak you. It was a nurse at the VA Hospital in Pittsburgh. It borught tears to my eyes.
When I returned for a follow up appointment, I took along ALL my metals and awards as my aviator wings , and gave them to her.
Took me 3 hours to find her and when I did she remembered me from all the patients she attended. I told her I had something for her and handed them to her. She then also had a tear in her eyes. We just gave each other a hug and I told her thanks for her commitment to serve veterans.

As we are of the same age, I'm assuming you served in VietNam. I remember...
My mother was a Navy nurse during WWII. My dad was a corpsman, and my son was an AO(?).
