Man Destroys Meat In Supermarket Frenzy, Police Say

EDINBURGH, Ind. -- A knife-wielding man was arrested earlier this week in what police called a meat massacre at a south-central Indiana supermarket.
Several people called 911 on Wednesday morning to report a man with a knife in the Jay C Food Store.

â€œWe have a gentleman here cutting into the meat and throwing it onto the floor,â€ one caller said.
"Got a man with a knife who's doing things,â€ another caller said.

When officers arrived, they found meat scattered everywhere in what Edinburgh police called one of the most bizarre cases they had ever investigated.

Edinburgh, Indiana is a small town just outside Camp Atterbury, Indiana. Camp A was a WWII training site, and is currently used as a mobilization station for reserve and NG combat support units. Edinburgh is also a town that used to be outside a State Prison (before it shut down) and as I was told, full of ex-prisoners and their families.

Edinburgh also has one of the best BBQ palces I've ever eaten at, Bob's BBQ. It is a little shithole of a place you'd drive by unless you know it. For $6.00 you get a huge BBQ sandwitch, colslaw or beans, and a drink.

Everything else sucks...

Mostly, yeah. It was mainly a factory town for one big walnut veneer factory when I was a kid there.
