“The monsters never go away.”

I occasionally do volunteer work taking supplies to elderly shut ins. One lady that I’ve come to know is almost 90 and she has a faded concentration camp number tattoo on her forearm. I never thought it was right to ask her about it, and she never volunteered any information about it.

She’s fully aware mentally, she keeps up with the news on TV, newspapers and magazines which she reads through a magnifying glass, and she has a grand nephew who has shown her lots of things on his laptop computer. When possible, I spend time with her on weekends and she’s always interested in and asking about current events.

I didn’t have a lot of time early this morning, but she stopped me cold when she asked me if it was true that there were people yelling at congressmen and calling them “disgusting names.” I assumed that her grand nephew had shown her stories about the insane tea baggers at work. Although I was late, it didn’t seem that important. I spent about half an hour with her, explaining what had happened.

She wanted to know what was actually said and I told her. As she slowly absorbed it, I’m certain she was tearing up. Then, she bowed her head a little and seemed to be talking more to herself than to me.

She said: “The monsters never go away.”

I realized that I was living in an instant of time that only our greatest writers could have conceived. I also became aware that I was looking at the number tattooed on her arm, and I could feel myself tearing up.

Most of the time, we all wake up to just another day. But this day, and the words she spoke, will remain with me until I die.

Cyrano is looking for street cred with the dikes and faggots on the Island.  To even consider comparing calling Ballme Frank a faggot, to what the Jews endured in Germany is sickening and stupid.

It's a moderately sized bonfire with many a gullible DUmmie.

I will never understand why they are so insanely driven to have to make up these ridiculously and obviously false stories.
What is it in their mental make up that forces them to have to to this to be able to express an opinion?

Is it that they are so insecure in their beliefs and know them to be false so they have to try to fake "real life" situations that seem to prove otherwise?

“disgusting names.”

Cyrano should be ashamed of himself.  His journal is full of disgusting names.  I'll bet he never mentioned that to the lady.

I un-friended a friend of about 30 years on Facebook today.  He's an ass, pure and simple.  And my, he is a certifiable brainwashed Obamabot.

I've been unfriended by a couple of people I know from that long ago.  No explanations , so I assume it's for some of the conservative things I've posted.

All that's missing is "the rain pattered softly on the windowpane as she spoke" or "suddenly a knot exploded in the ancient fireplace, startling her from her reverie."

Why do they make them read like a dime novel? It's a dead Bouncy giveaway.

I just unfriended my moonbat sister.  I don't have enough time in my day to answer her DUmp-level stupidity just to have her call what I say "talking points", so that she can ignore it.

Your sister?  I'd do the same if I had a sister who was a moonbat.

The name "Bush" always seems to be in comments that my moonbat friends make on Facebook.

I know this never happened but ... if it did I wonder if the DUmmie would explain to the person that NO ONE has any evidence what so ever that any name calling went on.

Blink, blink, blink, blink. That story is to the truth as the CalPig is to poetry.

Hey the DUmmie told a good bouncy....except he's a bit confused about history. It was a collection of queers, race baiters and other misfits that brought the national socialist to power. And as per the rules in the liberal playbook, once in power they turned on them and started killing them(night of the long knives).

I knew--quite well--a Jewish lady who was a survivor. Her name: Rose Price. She's a messianic Jew (Christian) with an international ministry and very pro-Israeli.

DUmmies hate people like her and think they have no place in American politics or their ancestral home land.

What the hell is he going on about?  What a fey drama queen.

Anyway, who turned the Jews away on the SS St. Louis?  Their hero, FDR.  A hideous disgrace, and should be a point of shame to all Democrats.

I've been organizing my late father's WWII pics (liberated Dachau) and nothing, absolutely nothing is comparable to that horror.  What kind of sick mofo makes a bouncy about concentration camps?   :bird: Cyrano.

My father in law was there too. He survived D-day, the Battle of the Bulge and God knows how many other horrors and said the only time he was ever physically ill was when they were freeing the survivors.

That's all they have when confronted with facts.... they call your facts "talking points" or "rethuglican memes".  On the other hand, when you question their drivel, obviously copied and pasted from some place like DailyKos, they say, "do your own research".
