Rep. Neugebauer said it.
Andrea Mitchell just read his statement of apology.

Three threads but no calls for his death or anything yet.

It's my understanding he shouted "the bill's a baby-killer."
If so, what's the big deal?

I fail to see the problem

I read earlier that he said "it's a baby killer." He very well could have said "the bill's a baby-killer." Who remembers exactly what you say in a moment of anger. Either utterance is true.
BTW Thundley, It's Andrea Mitchell MSNBC News. :-)

The only way I'd pick her out of a line up is if it was her Keith Olberdork, and Rachel Madcow together.

"Andrea Mitchell MSNBC News" is the moniker that Rush gave her. Just like "John Kerry, who was in Viet Nam." Or our own name for Greenbriar, "Pam Dawson, who's taking Chemo."

It's sort of a big deal because it's a violation of decorum. It's kind of like a congressman or senator coming to the floor wearing sweats instead of coat and tie. We are the side of decency and civilization, and should leave outbursts like that to morons like democrats and Code Pink. The guy has no class.

decorum??
There is no decorum left since the Dems took over. Alan Grayson ring a bell?

Perhaps a visit to the British House of Commons, when in session, might change your mind on "decorum".......

Only liberals have abortions.
I fully support the use of every asset at the federal government's disposal to encourage, promote and subsidize the aborting of liberals.
If there is a God He'll have mercy on the souls of the unborn. As for the liberals themselves?
**** 'em

The baby killers really hate the term "baby killer".

Not at all. Their system and customs are very different. They have no Constitution, no Bill of Rights, no Supreme Court. The House of Commons isn't much of a deliberative body, since crossing party lines is almost unheard of. The majority party decides what the law will be, and that's it. There is no other legislative body, and the monarch is duty bound to accept the judgement of Commons. It's a different system altogether, with its own huge body of customs and rules of decorum.

My point was, I have attended a session, and you won't find much "decorum" there........their system is much older than ours, and although different, they largely view "decorum" as crap, and speak their mind with little provication......
Perhaps it is past time for our legislatiors to "call a spade a spade", and forget all of the "decorum"......it sure as hell wouldn't hurt my feelings. A principled legislator standing up in the well of the House, and calling out the opposition as liars and cheats would be refreshing to me....
YMMV

I like how the European Parliaments call each out with their dry Brit humor. They give insults in an ever so polite voice. I can imagine dealing with something of this magnitude could make you yell a lot more than "It's a baby killer." Someone would have had to call security to unhinge me from Pelosi's throat. But, that's just me. I'd like to see the guillotine and public hangings come back in fashion.
