Two suspects dressed as leprechauns were shot dead after a bank robbery at First State Bank in Gallatin.
No one else was harmed in the incident.
Gallatin police received the initial call at 12:28 p.m. Wednesday, GPD Sgt. Bill Storment said. Witnesses and employees at the bank, located at 1135 Nashville Pike, followed the suspects out of the bank. The suspects fled in a vehicle and fired at police, disabling a police car at Highway 109 and Red River Road in Gallatin.
“The suspects fled on foot into a field where they turned and fired at officers,” Storment said. “Both suspects have sustained gunshot wounds and are deceased.”

The saying "Luck of the Irish" refers to having bad luck, not good. Looks like it was applicable.
