Ours are coming up and have buds, but I don't have any in bloom yet.  Went to a client's house yesterday and she had picked some that were only budded and the bloomed out in the house.

I just love daffodils....they are flowers that just make me want to smile.  :-)

Who will still be Irish tomorrow?

Mother's maiden name was Magee.  I'm an Orange man who sympathizes with the green.

Same here, except for the man part.   :-)  My Great Grandmother was so orange, she would not allow anything green in her house.  Except the Christmas Tree, and live greenery.

I'm not Irish at all. I'm a Scot/Englishwoman.  :-)

Gran's maiden name was Campbell. And her mother's maiden was MacKay.

I have no idea about my ancestry except my great grandfather on my dad's side was married to a Choctaw woman. I think Looney came from the O'Looney's in County Cork but I can't prove it and my mothers family name was Wymack, which could be Polish or something.

My wife is Scottish. Her Grandparents came from Scotland. Maiden name is Gilroy.

There's a town in Ireland from where my last name originates.

And no, it isn't Wiggum.

No Irish. Shawnee/French/Scot.  :evillaugh:  A paternal relative spent 20+ years tracing our history (to the early 1500's); it's very interesting.

I have my family genealogy going back until somewhere in the 17th century.  There was a man named John in every generation of my family until Mom married Dad in 1968.

My grandmother was born in N Scotland, and my grandfather near Manchester, England. They met when she was teaching at a girls' finishing school in England. Then emigrated to US in 1921, and my dad was born a few months later.

I have a record of my paternal grandmother's ancestry dated back into the 1300s in Germany (Schoener) -- no idea who did it but it's extremely interesting.  I wish I had my dad's history as well since our family name in German means "Count".  Also my cousin has done a family history of my maternal grandfather's family back into the early 1700s when the original ancestor emmigrated from England for religious reasons (he was a Quaker). It was interesting to read about the family members (also Quakers) who were involved with the Underground Railroad that came through Philly.
