Poll Finds Blacks Motivated To Vote In November

WASHINGTON -- Democrats facing strong headwinds this election season have at least one reason for optimism, according to polling that found the party's large African-American voting bloc eager to stay involved even without Barack Obama on the ballot.
About two-thirds of black adults in four states say they are closely following news about the upcoming midterm elections, and between 74 percent and 80 percent say they are very likely to vote, according to the poll, conducted by the nonpartisan Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies. The organization surveyed 500 African-Americans in each state -- Missouri, Indiana, Arkansas and South Carolina -- all of which have Senate races in November.
How many of those voters follow through with their intentions will help determine if Democrats hold control of Congress. In many competitive congressional districts, blacks make up a quarter of the electorate, and they vote overwhelmingly for Democrats. Their surge during Obama's 2008 victory is widely credited with helping sweep many down-ballot Democrats into office who might have otherwise lost.
Gosh it must be nice to be in a protected class instead of stuck being a WASP.
Why not? It’s an easy 20 bucks.
And our government has already handed out BILLIONS to community organizations that can be counted to “get the vote outâ€. The money was looted from the treasury under the guise of “stimulationâ€.
Oh please, please blacks. Turn out and vote for the Democrats. We need you!!!
Too lazy to work , too lazy to vote ... except when you are voting for your first black President.
Horse hockey... they ain’t showing up without Teh Messiah on the bill. Period.
snip...
No link to the "freeper" thread...runs on forever and ever without any quote separation...great post, cali. :rotf:

2. I don't know how or what or.. Updated at 7:10 PM
I mean, I am so angry at this crap, I am literally shaking right now. These people are a f*cking cancer upon our society. One day they will rue the day they spouted this hate and filth from their inbred diseased little d*ckhole they call mouthes.
Till then, let the libs embrace all brothers and sisters of this world and stand strong against hate like this whenever we possibly can.
And not one person calls this little DUmper on the obvious hatred. If any of the OP was accurate, there was still nothing anywhere near as hatefilled as this reply. Of course. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Oh my.
The bitter old Vermontese cali primitive.
In case one isn't aware, the bitter old Vermontese cali primitive has a real personal problem with "race."
On one hand, mucho years ago, the bitter old Vermontese cali primitive was hitched up with a black guy.
On the other hand, based upon comments she's made on Skins's island, the bitter old Vermontese cali primitive doesn't want blacks moving to Vermont.
When it comes to "race," I pay more attention to one of the cat's bowel movements than I do to the bitter old Vermontese cali primitive's comments on the issue.

Wonder if it will ever dawn on them that their put on hysterics about racism only echo now with themselves.
Nope...probably never will so keep spewing it idiots.

I wonder if they'll ever realize that the hatred and intolerance on their own site far outweighs anything they can find on conservative sites.

Oh Hades, MrsSmith, it isn't even close.

I'm trying to figure out where the racism is in that post. More women vote dem too and are also a "protected" class with the same legislative advantages. Oh, and we also have Title IX. It's also true that community organizing groups are given preferential treatment (and stimulus money). They were more than willing to help a white ho' so I'm assuming they don't just cater to blacks. And Dems have paid people to vote and register voters. Wasn't Hillary trading smokes for votes a few years ago? I don't recall hearing they were a specific race. Even so, they're only 12% of the population and we'll see how committed they are in November.

Mrs.Smith, I noticed no link too but it stopped no one from commenting on how vile the freepers were.
I've seen her do this before. I suspect cali of being a double spy.
Nobody said a word when Mary Landrieu got busses to pick up and drop off her voters. Or that she supplied liquor, cigarettes, jambalaya and money to only the black folk in her district.
Not one word.
When whites complained, Mary got all defensive.
They need to clean their own doorsteps before they dirty anyone else's.

True. She's made it quite clear that minorities aren't welcome in her neighborhood.

18. they need to be called on it.
"Calling them on it" in a venue in which they are not allowed to respond is an empty exercise, n'est-ce pas?

Well, I guess its time for me to punch the time clock and go to work. :-)

The stupid race card is all they have and nobody is really buying it anymore.

I'm curious about more details about a couple of things. What did cali say to suggest she doesn't want blacks next door? How was that received? If you don't have a link, can you just describe? Cause that there is good stuff.
Shadeaux, how did Landrieu justify all that great stuff for blacks only? What did she say?
-
I've never figured out how 95% of blacks voting for the black guy is not racist.

Hey Karin, I can't find the one link I was looking for, but this one was pretty good. It is for a blog, but has external links for reference.
http://pursuingholiness.com/2009/12/how-mary-landrieu-can-get-re-elected/
While nothing illegal has ever been proved, Mary Landrieu more or less stole her Senate seat using ACORN approved methods of getting out the zombie vote, paying people to vote early and often, and holding back precincts so any necessary adjustments could be made. Woody Jenkins, discouraged by Louisiana election code which requires trials to begin no later 15 days after the election, tried to take his case to the Senate instead. He did a lousy job proving it, and now as an incumbent, she’s entrenched.
One organization Mary relied on heavily to get her into the Senate was LIFE (Louisiana Independent Federation of Electors). LIFE was closely associated with Marc Morial, sometime mayor of New Orleans, and like Mary and Mitch, son of a New Orleans Mayor. Marc’s dad (Dutch Morial) succeeded Mitch’s dad (Moon Landrieu) as mayor. Like his father, Marc Morial tried – and failed – to amend the city charter so they could run for a 3rd term.
-
All value judgments aside, it would matter in some Senate races, but not much at all in the House, since thanks to years of Black Caucus-endorsed gerrymandering, the Black vote is heavily concentrated in districts that are safe seats for the Dems regardless of turnout.
-
Shadeaux, how did Landrieu justify all that great stuff for blacks only? What did she say?
She wouldn't have to justify it. If you pour money into Louisiana through democrat channels, there sure won't be any white folks getting it.

IassaFTots, thank you sweets.
Karin, it's been going on for so long the news crews down there fiimed it. She hid nothing.
When she was caught in person she said she'd do whatever it took to help out the people of her district.
Her father taught her well. Her people expected it.
