Oh my.

So help me, Skins's island is so dreadfully boring today I found myself in the Canadian forum, desperate for material.

Harper even controls their hair.

Finance ministers buy new shoes on the eve of their budget delivery.

Jim Flaherty went one better on that tradition, by bringing new hair into the Commons for his budget address on Thursday.

-snip-

Well, let's hope the shoes last longer than the revamped hair. By Thursday night, his hair was squashed down a bit and the new look was gone entirely by yesterday morning, replaced by the old style for his budget-selling blitz.

The reason for the follicle flip-flop is a matter of considerable whisper and speculation on Parliament Hill.

One reliable Conservative MP says senior officials in the Prime Minister's office were so appalled by the style, they dispatched orders to gel it down, which was dutifully done in the finance minister's office by an assistant.

2. Setting new standards for 'control freak'.

And Flaherty...who is 61...went along with this.
