Okay, there are a little over 5,000 live primitives on Skins's island.
How many of them, does one suppose, are aware of conservativecave?
I'm curious, because obviously we need to "market" ourselves better.
Right now, I'm guessing.....maybe a little less than ten know of us.
-
frank, are these spreads suppose to represent percentages of Skin's island or numbers of bodies?
.
-
Are those percentages?
-

Based upon that, I'm going to guess you mean 10 individual bodies.
I say at least 25% of Skin's island are aware of us (over 1250), but only maybe a few hundred check up on us a few times a year to find their own posts mentioned, and of those possibly 50 or so on a consistent basis.
They know we're here. They're scared to death to confront us, but they know we're here.
I went 51-100, but it's more in the 1200 area.
.

Are those percentages?
That's what I was wondering. I'm going along with USA4ME, at least 25% know about CC or CU.
-

The latter, sir, number of primitives, total.
I'm rather doubtful that the primitives in general are aware of conservativecave, and in the interests of meaningful political enlightenment, want to penetrate that closed market.
How, I'm not sure yet, but even if 500 primitives know of conservativecave, that still leaves 90% of the market untapped, and we need to go for that market.
As far as I know, Pedro Picasso, the "Atman" primitive, was the only primitive who discovered us in the beginning--on conservativecave's very first day, as a matter of fact--and we've had a few others here and there, including two (one now deceased) who actually came over here to post.
I'm sure there's lots and lots of primitives who don't know conservativecave exists--Oscar Wilde the large-proboscised primitive (the "Cyrano" primitive), Mrs. Alfred Packer (the "hippywife" primitive), the Stenchy Cat primitive (the "Frenchie Cat" primitive), &c., &c., &c., are stars here, but probably aren't even aware they're stars.
We have a marketing problem here. I'm not sure yet what to do about it, but discerning the depth of the problem is a first start.

Hmmmmm......perplexing indeed Coach!
I thought all DUmmies continually searched their handles thru Google and we would show up. Could be unless their name is in the title of the thread, Google doesn't flag them. Perhaps there are so many hits though that we're not on the first page of said searches.
I guess we could start posting the OP's handle in the title of the thread to test it out.

It's my understanding that by including the name of the primitive originally lighting a campfire is enough to get one onto Google, which is why I amend topics when that name isn't there.
I rather like the freedom we have here to create our own headlines.
I'm now wondering how much it would cost to get conservativecave on AdBot; of course, primitives who donate to Skins's island don't see the AdBot primitive, but Democrat and liberal lurkers, and primitives too poor to donate, would.

Part of the problem is your fellow alum Skins, won't let the primitives discuss conservative sites. We're kinda between a rock and a hard place.

Yeah, but they know about it. I don't look at the "who's online" list here often, but at CU there is still a constant influx of visitors viewing DUmp threads.
-
I suppose we could have some suicide moles throw up some advertising. Even if they don't get to discuss it, so long as they see where to go might help. We could do it prime time for maximum viewership.

Hence, why I said, "Not sure."

frank, you really want them to know about this place? I can tell you how we do it, but it's not going to happen in a week, or a month, or two months, or even 6 months. It's going to take time, patience, and it's going to take a group effort.
CU got noticed because the B/W form was something new and it socked them between the eyes. All it took was supercrash and a few others to mention the B/W forum and word got around. But that was then, this is now. Burning moles to advertise this place might get a few, but it'll fizzle. To get their full attention, we've got to sock them in the face again. Harder. Much harder.
I'll PM you with how we can do it, not because I'm trying to act like some kind of know-it-all, but because I don't want to advertise it to them. In fact, if you're really serious about this, I suggest a forum is created that can only be viewed by the trusted members here (and no one else) who are interested in marketing to the primitives as you have suggested.
.

I'm figuring 20 to 25 or so.. Once the moles are subtracted, of course.
I believe many of the faceless lynch mob assume that their mole-visitors are all 'Lousy Freeper Trolls' and come from Free Republic - Granted, many of us have accounts at FR as well (myself included) but that doesn't give the primitives reason to assume that site is the only source of conservative infiltration.
There is an irony to this as well.
The Primitives who are most likely to know we exist 'here', stop posting 'there' - either wilfully, or because they have been cast out. If, For example, this question were about Big Jerry's Salon - which is almost entirely populated by ex-DU'ers, I would put the figure at 90% of the total active population of the salon. Id give the same figure to those on the other Ex-Primitive sites as well.
Perhaps it goes back to the Poll on intimidation, or as I mentioned in that post, the possibility of The Observer Effect changing the players on the island - or maybe its pure coincidence - but regardless of the reason or combinations thereof, Once a primitive knows we are 'here', it becomes likely that they will no longer be 'there' -- Which limits how many of them know we exist.

You know, that's very curious.
Why would a primitive, upon being observed, change or mute its postings?
Is it possible the primitives are secretly ashamed of their statements?
A rhetorical question, of course, not to be taken seriously.

But haven't they been proud to be mentioned by Limbaugh, before? They were even mentioned on Fox News for that E-Bay listing about Trig Palin.
-
But haven't they been proud to be mentioned by Limbaugh, before?
Yeah, it's very curious, this phenomenon of the primitives being afraid of the world seeing what they're saying.
It reminds me of Pedro Picasso, the "Atman" primitive, when he took that job with that one advertising agency, whatever its name is, and he mentioned he'd been asked to subdue his comments there, and even completely dump it.
One wondered why.
The advertising agency, whatever its name is, works for Democrat candidates and liberal causes. I think they should be proud of a member of their staff being one of the most prolific posters on Skins's island, and even advertise that fact.
That is, unless for some reason that escapes me, they're embarrassed.
Now, if I was hired by an advertising agency that worked for Republican candidates and conservative causes, I'd unhesitantly admit I post at conservativecave, and even provide printouts of my comments.
I'd probably be told, hey, put more of your stuff up there.
-
One needs to consider the psychology of the average primitive to understand why they may be embarrassed or ashamed of their postings.
Many of them are weak-willed 'go along to get along' types who post stories, opinions and beliefs that aren't entirely truthful - in other words,
"DUmmies lie, all the time, they lie." (The First Rule - franksolich)
What could be more embarrassing than to be caught in a lie over and over again ? What could be more demeaning for a primitive than to realize that another primitive they love and respect is a charlatan ?
And what Primitives learn these things ?
The ones that know we exist.

Put me om that PM list. I'm interested in your plan! I'd like nothing better than to try and turn a few DUmbass souls from the Dark Side!

Best explanation I've seen yet! Sure does 'splain why we're not discussed more.
-
As long as Name Removed and Adbot know who we are, what else matters?
-
I voted 26-50 but only a guess.
It may have been mentioned already but it is never going to be a certainty due to their lies.
Pam clearly knows about this place but more then once on a thread pretended she had never heard of it.
She is not alone I am sure.

Same reason I voted 26-50. Even if they know they will never admit it! Almost impossible to get an accurate reading.
-
I said "Not sure".
I think that the poll should have been what percentage of primitives know of our existence? 10%, 25%, 50% or more.
As there is only 4,000 active posters out of the 100,000+ registered posters at the DUmp, It's a safe bet that they know who we are.
-
Don't they have to be a live, sentient being to be aware of anything first?
