A 45-year-old woman, charged with ending a domestic dispute by killing her 26-year-old husband of five days, is a registered lobbyist for a group fighting domestic violence.
Arelisha Bridges was ordered held without bond in the Fulton County Jail. She is scheduled for a preliminary hearing later this month on charges of felony murder, murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Officials said Bridges claimed she was unemployed. But records show she is a lobbyist for an organization called the National Declaration for Domestic Violence Order; its Web site says the group is pushing legislation to create a database of those convicted of sex crimes or domestic abuse. ...

5 days?

5 days?
She's probably not known for her perseverance.

I was more stricken by the age difference than the five days.
Another community organizer goes down in flames...

Quite the honeymoon period for that couple....

Arelisha Bridges
Damn Canadians....

My husband is a wee bit younger than me. :uhsure: It's never been a problem, but it is amusing sometimes, like the difference in our musical tastes(he's learned so much from me :-)). I doubt we'd be compatible if there were a 20 year gap, though.

5 days?
I guess she can't claim a history of domestic violence drove her to it.
-
Holy shit--if I married someone that butt-ass ugly she wouldn't have to murder me, I'd off myself for putting the wood to her...

Apparently they've not exactly been the perfect happy couple:

And I know where this is--this is the street that ran by my GT dorm freshman year...

If they had a long term volatile relationship and still decided to get married, neither one of them must have much sense. Maybe she just recently got the life insurance policy on him ?

She's uglier than homemade sin.
Not only is she a wack job, but the article said she was seen getting into her car wearing a nightgown and a shower cap.
Jeezus. A shower cap. Why in the hell would she be worried about getting that head of "hair" wet?

My dad was 20 years older than my mom and I was 20 years younger than her. My dad was 40 when I was born, obviously.

Obama's sister-in-law?

Looks exactly like one of the "women" here at work.
Dumb as dirt and ugly as homeade soap.

I'm older than the wife by several years. I was 50 when my only child (a son) was born.
But even better than that is this true story.
I went to see my dentist. He was getting old and I had been seeing him since I was a kid. He knew everybody in the county and their family history. So I said to him, "I guess you heard I've gotten married again and had a child." He goes, "Yes I did and , congradulations." Then I said, "Kindda foolish a man my age having kids this late in life ain't it." He says, "Oh, I don't know about that. My dad was 64 when I was born and there were 2 more after me." I didn't feel near as bad about my age and parenthood after that.... :rotf:

Tony Randall, the actor who played Felix Unger on the TV series "Odd Couple" had a daughter well into his 80s. Of course, his wife was 50 years younger than he was. :lmao:
-
I never said there was anything wrong with it, but daddy needs to be able to play ball after his afternoon nap. :p

I'm a "bit" younger than my lovely bride.
Hasn't been a problem in our 15 years of wedded bliss.

My mom is 5 years older than my dad and it has worked out fine for them they have been married almost 37 years
