Rep. Eric Massa (D-N.Y.) will not seek reelection after only one term in office.

According to several House aides – on both sides of the aisle – the House Ethics Committee has been informed of allegations that Massa, who is married with two children, sexually harassed a male staffer.

Massa told POLITICO Wednesday afternoon that no one has brought allegations of misconduct to him.

Asked about the sexual harassment allegations, Massa said: "When someone makes a decision to leave Congress, everybody says everything. I have health issues. I'll talk about it [later].”

Way back when all those sexual harrassment laws were passed....didn't congress exempt themselves from them? If true, now you know why.

This has to be discrimination at it's worse form.

Why is it that all these male  politicians are leaving in disgrace and yet not one woman has been charged with sexual harassment.?

Come on, we have a huge amount of woman in Government and all are pure and chaste.?

This looks like a MAN hunt to me.  First the Woman's Libs. want equal rights, however they demand that they as woman are untouchable when it comes to morals or life style.?

Can this be that woman are smarter at hiding their private life.?   Is this a double standard that woman now demand-----films of a female politician shoving bribe money in her bra was excused, had it been a male stuffing his skivvies with money-----WOW.

Perhaps I have this all Ass backwards, could be that the woman in politics hold the office due to the male input, advice and knowledge of the good old boy network.

Are the woman being used as a front for males that dance them in public with strings of a puppet.?   :-) :banghead:

Woman are expendable in all society's,   one can change the law but one cannot change human nature.

Men rule the Earth, they are stronger and have a different mind set from the female.

Show me just one female politician with an all female staff with one token male.

Show me one female politician that has climbed the ladder with just woman pushing her up.

Its interesting that Masa is saying that the whole thing is a ploy (despite his admitted wrong doing) due to his vote against health care.  He states that they want to get rid of him due to his no vote.  How true it all is I dont know I have not payed attention to much of the story just what I happened to catch on Fox so far.  Yet if it is true it wouldnt really surprise me at all.

If the ethics investigation involves nothing more than the comment he claims to have made, then I would agree with him that he is being forced out.  Truth be told , would anyone put it past this administration using the ethics committee to rid themselves of a no vote?
