Title: Las Vegas Mayor Goodman rejects Obama invitation
Post by: thundley4 on February 18, 2010, 11:47:02 AM
Quote
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) - Mayor Oscar Goodman has refused an invitation to meet with President Obama when he arrives in town on Thursday. Mayor Goodman called President Obama a slow learner after he told Americans not to blow money on a weekend in Las Vegas if they were saving to put their kids through college.

"I've got other things to do quite frankly for my constituents here in Las Vegas who rely on me to do the right thing as a mayor," explained Mayor Goodman.

Mayor Goodman has more important things like attend budget meetings during a major shortfall than meet with President Barack Obama when he visits Las Vegas Friday, even though he's invited by the White House.

"Were you surprised to get that invitation in light of comments you've made before and your opinion on him and what he says," asked Action News reporter Heather Klein.

"A little bit in the sense I would think they would know that I would say I'm not coming," said Mayor Goodman.

Nope, Lord Zero's Ego would not allow him to believe that someone could turn down his invitation.

Meet Oboma?  I wouldn't lift a slat on a mini-blind in order to catch a glimpse of him standing on the sidewalk in front of my house.

God Bless Mayor Goodman.   I don't think the Mayor is alone in his sentiment.

BTW, If I was the mayor of Las Vegas I'd have a warrant out for Oboma's arrest.  He tried to murder the local economy.

And he is losing his old ones fast. I'm thinking the bus will have a new driver soon.

HI,

This is terrific from your name etc.  Semper Fi means more than most will ever know

I just added a blistering post on the breaking news thread about Murtha's death.  What Mr. Murtha did was indeed break that trust and in the eyes of most Marines that is an unforgivable offense.  We can leave it up to the Lord to forgive him because we are not capable of doing so.

Much wisdom in your statement, thank you for sharing it.

Hi,

My wife informs me that Obama has now said something to the effect, "Let me set the record straight.  I LOVE Las Vegas!"  Every time this clown opens his mouth he seems to insult the intelligence of the American people.  How much more does this have to backfire before Lacarnut's prediction comes true and the libs get a new driver???

Time for a mysterious leak to produce a copy of his birth certificate or something.

Geesh!

as many times as he has said, "understand this . . . .."

what a haughty, preposessed, and ultimately tedious guy.
