DRIGGS, Idaho (AP) - Dawn Wells, who played Mary Ann on "Gilligan's Island," is serving six months' unsupervised probation after allegedly being caught with marijuana in her car.
She was sentenced Feb. 29 to five days in jail, fined $410.50 and placed on probation after pleading guilty to one count of reckless driving.
Under a plea agreement, three misdemeanor counts—driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance—were dropped.
On Oct. 18, Teton County sheriff's Deputy Joseph Gutierrez arrested Wells as she was driving home from a surprise birthday party that was held for her. According to the sheriff's office report, Gutierrez pulled Wells over after noticing her swerve and repeatedly speed up and slow down. When Gutierrez asked about a marijuana smell, Wells said she'd just given a ride to three hitchhikers and had dropped them off when they began smoking something. Gutierrez found half-smoked joints and two small cases used to store marijuana.
The 69-year-old Wells, founder of the Idaho Film and Television Institute and organizer of the region's annual family movie festival called the Spud Fest, then failed a sobriety test.

The Seven Deadly Sins of Gilligan’s Island theory is quite simple. Each of the seven characters on the island represents each of the seven deadly sins. Now, this theory seems to fit upon initial inspection, there are technical difficulties when you get down to THE MAN himself, Gilligan.
Most obvious is the Professor, who fits PRIDE to a T. Any man who can make a ham radio out of some wire and two coconuts has to be pretty cocky. (His character was later revised and given a series of his own, called "MacGyver.")
For the sin of ENVY we need look no further than Mary Ann, who may have worn those skimpy little tops, but could never achieve Ginger’s glamour. (As an interesting and completely irrelevant side note, a nationwide survey of college students a few years ago revealed that the professor and Mary Ann were voted the most likely couple to have ‘done it’ on the island.)
And who could doubt for a moment that Ginger is LUST incarnate? Sure, the kids were supposed to think she was ACTING, but we all know what being deprived episode after episode was doing to her. You know and I know that glazed look wasn’t boredom, my friends.

Let's be fair here...she's 74 years old. While I think she's trying to play a bit too much on the young side in some of those pics, she looks vibrant for a woman in her mid 70's.

Marta was alrady there back in 2004. the others i am not sure it's been going on for over 15 years in the same place more or less. This year it has to be held down the street from the original hotel due to remodeling there. Here is a picture of her from 2004 with my friend Steve Iverson.He was responsable for bringing her there.

Wow, thanks! I haven't seen a current photo of her. Lordy, she was a knock-out back in the "Space" days.
I was about 10 years old when "Space" came on television. I'd tune in just for her. I don't think at first I knew why she made me feel funny, but I figured it out before it went off the air. :)
