I think DU should shut down the September 11 forum
Seriously. IMO it's an abusive farce masquerading as a legitimate "discussion" forum. It's obviously little more than a padded playpen for DU's "special children". DU should simply lock and delete 9/11 posts in GD and other forums as they appear, and be done with it. The only thing this forum manages to do is reinforce the notion of an untouchable caste in the DU population. I'm sure this post will be met with *outrage*, and possibly instantly disappeared because of its forbidden, seditious, nature, but I honestly believe it's worthy of consideration.

"truthers" aren't up to rigorous debate. Your persecution complex is stunning. The inability of the "truth movement" to significantly advance its agenda lays directly in its inability to marshal convincing arguments and develop concrete evidence.
To lay it at DU's feet by claiming that DU is protecting any of us is truly petty.
um...I thought SD hated the 9/11 truther movement...or is this some kind of reverse psycology?

Please try to answer as truthfully as possible, and with as little invective as you are able. I come here, primarily, with an interest in news about the evolving saga of 9/11. I'm pretty sure that's why most truthers do. See, we don't believe the real story has been told, at least not in its entirety. But you guys already have all the answers, or at least enough of the answers that you have no doubts the official story is essentially correct.
So my first question is what's in this for you? You know you haven't and won't change any minds, yet you persist. I suspect this is basically sport for you. An addicting football game where your main interest is to bloody noses. I could be wrong. Here's your opportunity to set me straight.
One would almost say that SD is my alternate personality in the DU world...hey...SD... :whatever: ...SD.....why are those letters familar?

There's a reason there's a dungeon for 911 discussion, (whether DU did it by accident, on purpose for other reasons, or by coercion from an outside force)
And that's because it has to be kept out of the mainstream. If 911 truth was exposed to the general public long enough and often enough they would wake up to the sham farce and fraud that is the MIMC's official conspiracy theory. Just look at the majority that thinks the same MIMC is lying about Kennedy after all these years. The more time passes the more people think they are lying.
What I find amazing is that so many seemingly intelligent people would so unequivocally support such an obvious sham farce fraud that was put up when the bush crime family was in control, and that they would keep supporting it day after day, month after month, year after year. In spite of the fact that it's been thoroughly debunked after this much time has passed.
They must have some kind of ulterior motive, that's the only way it can be explained.
MIMC? Military Industrial __________ Complex? Or, it could be just as simple as some militant radical muslims flew planes into buildings.

The notion that the DU admins created this forum in order to keep 911 discussion out of the mainstream is so deliciously bizarre, I don't know what else needs to be said.
As for your inability to believe that anyone could actually disagree with you, no matter how patiently thoroughly people explain their reasons for disagreement, perhaps that isn't as delicious.

Truthers are born into a culture and social system that points them towards that role based on their ethics and morals. OCTers have 2 categories. Those that through ignorance believe in the most ridiculous unfounded things, without evidence to support their silly claims. Those that knowingly lie about the most ridiculous unfounded things, without evidence to support their silly claims, because it is their job at disinfo headquarters.
It's sort of like republicans, there are only two types of republicans, the rich and the ignorant.
We're just too stupid to know the truth.

9/11 is the only action of the bush administration that still has any public support.
The general public decries all other actions since 2000. But 9/11 actions are still generally upheld.
9/11 is the last thing the republicans can hold on to and they will not let go easily. If the truth were widely known, Cheney would be in chains. And the full faith and trust in the United States government would hit rock bottom.
And who knows what would happen then?
Maybe it is a good thing that the truth not be fully and completely known? If it were known our neighbors just might flip out?
Maybe we skeptics need to be corralled so that we only leak a little here and a little there but the ship stays afloat?
Face it, most people can't handle the truth. If the truth were well known, the US as we know it would radically change and maybe not for the better.
