http://www.businessinsider.com/henry-blodget-unionized-rhode-island-teachers-refuse-to-work-25-minutes-more-per-day-so-town-fires-all-of-them-2010-2
.....and as an aside...I thought unionized blue states were supposed to be the greatest places on earth to live?...you know....high wages and all that but this place has a median income of $22,000....say what?

Hahahahaha good on that town! :hi5:

I'm having trouble when clicking on links, because this particular computer is still on Windows95.
Is that where the town wanted the teachers to work 23 minutes more per day, and the teachers said no, that was too much work?
-
The requests by the superintendent seem perfectly reasonable, especially if they are making $70,000 to $80,000 a year. In general, in the private sector, it is expected that exempt employees will work the hours necessary to get the job done. It seems that the teachers want the benefit of never working more than 8 hours while keeping their high pay and not having them employment be based on performance.

I read every damn comment.....my mind hurts but I'll save y'all the trouble of reading it all.
The DUmmies have all the solutions and all the answers.....as usual. They are as follows...in short form...
1- Work less.
2- Spend more money.
3- Up welfare because parents are to poor.
4- Spend more money.
5- National healthcare is needed.
6- Spend more money.
7- Students aren't worth a damn because their parents don't collect enoung wrelfare and other government goodies.
8- Spend more money.
Here's my assesment and solutions.
1- Kids aren't worth a damn due to 40+ years of the Liberal Agenda being used.
2- Cut funding to liberal programs.
3 Parents aren't worth a damn due to 40+ years of the liberal agenda being used.
4- Cut funding to liberal programs.
5- Parents don't have money because they don't "HAVE" to work due to 40+ years of the liberal agenda being used.
6- Cut funding to liberal programs.
7- Whip the asses of the unruly, snotty nosed, liberal raised young'ns, parents, teachers and all liberals in general.
8- Cut funding to liberal programs.

One could make a lot of jokes about the so-called "Pew Scores" (Pepe La P comes to mind :-) ), but most of those states on the Pew Shit List are blue.
A couple of exceptions, but only a couple.
No great surprise, really. Fiscal irresponsibility is always an issue, irrespective of party, but it does seem to be more of a problem in those blue places.

Where is that strike at now? lol

Where is that strike at now? lol
Probably picketing the unemployment office. And considering that they were all fired for cause, I wouldn't expect much "relief" from UI, either.

How's that Union working for ya now dumbasses
Right to work states really suck don't they? :lmao:
-
Boy. That's really good news. Well done.

In a nutshell, that's the purpose of all labor unions.
