Title: 02-14 Sunday
Post by: franksolich on February 14, 2010, 07:48:48 AM
This is some sort of holiday, Presidents' Day, I think.

The Sandhills of Nebraska are being buried under snow, much snow, too much snow to count, this morning.  High winds, low temperatures.

I swear, by the time this snow finally melts, the whole state's going to be eight feet under water.

The cats are fine.

Just got a notice saying that three of my prescriptions were denied because they were on the same order (although they were different prescriptions).  I hate automotons.  I'll just have to call them back Monday and remind them of how stupid they truly are.

Happy Valentine's Day to all.

Cold and clear here.  Was going to work on some injured horses, but it's too cold for them to relax and let me move the tissue I need to.  Supposed to warm up by the end of the week.

Sorry to hear about more snow, Frank.  But the hills needs it to keep Ted Turner's portion of the Ogallala aquifer full. (sarcasm)

Muddy and cold.  Have to cut some branches off of a broken tree, and gonna clean out the garage.  Woo hoo.

Debating whether or not to go out and watch the rest of the race.  Just found out that one of my co-workers got a DUI (his second) leaving our shop get-together Friday evening, and his job may well be in serious jeopardy.  I'm really worried about him.

We're going to be watching it from the comfort of home.

I met with my buyer this morning at 10, to sign some more papers, on one of his offers that he made last week....then met M at IHOP for a Valentine's breakfast. I got there before him and got a table right away....people were standing outside waiting when we left!

Not only is everyone getting out for Valentine's, but also because they are afraid of being snowed in again. Latest word is the snow's not coming in until around midnight.

I just know that though the temp's gone up to 36, it's seems much colder. Sun is gone and the humidity is rising, and with the ground soaked and water, water everywhere, it is a very damp cold.  :brrr:

A bit under the weather today, but better than last night.

Decided to miss the Daytona 500 and go to Sam's instead...I should be able to catch the end of it though.

If this darn headache would go away, I'd be much happier.

DirectTV finally came on with another channel showing Daytona....the local FOX station was out for some reason. Missed the opening stuff, but it got it at lap 13.

We're having snow flurries.....supposed to be raining....

It is grey, gloomy, and overcast outside.  A very ugly day.

I'm "celebrating" Valentine's Day with a fresh case of beer.  It's just what I wanted.

Well.  The weather is lousy for a reason.  Forecast says 2-3 inches of snow overnight... just enough to make my drive to work a hassle.  At least tomorrow's a holiday.  Maybe the roads will be empty.

God, it took forever to finish that race.  I've been waiting for the Simpson's to start.

I'm watching Cars for the fifth time this weekend.

I've seen it a couple of times. I thought it was pretty good for a "kids" movie.

I wish there was a place to do "make-your-own" beer around here.

Yes, I HAVE heard of it.  And while making it at home SOUNDS fun, there were places I used to go where I could MAKE and BOTTLE the beer, and leave the mess for someone ELSE to clean up...places like this one, where I used to go:

Brewbaker's--Huntington Beach (http://www.brewbakers1.com/index.html)
