Skinner, why don't you use the actual donation totals in your donation meter?
Putting up a "number of donations" as opposed to "dollars donated" makes me less likely to donate let alone donate in large amounts.
I gave a few dollars last year and I'd certainly like to give again. A better meter will go a long way.

6. 1000 donations can be $1 per person. Setting dollar amount goals makes people open their wallets.
