Poll question: What is Your Definition of Wealthy?

In the distant past I would do this poll from time to time, but it is always fascinating to receive the opinions of others on this question, and I appreciate in advance the opinion of anyone willing to participate.

Because this in an escalating poll, I am asking you to vote for your baseline. In other words, if someone making sixty grand a year is "wealthy", please vote for that rather than the next highest amount.

Likewise, if you have a target not generally listed here, please specify it. Thank you in advance.
Poll result (20 votes)
Someone making over $60,000 a year is wealthy    (0 votes, 0%)   Vote
Someone making over $100,000 a year is wealthy    (10 votes, 50%)   Vote
Someone making over $200,000 a year is wealthy    (6 votes, 30%)   Vote
Someone who has a net wealth of one million dollars but is retired with no income is wealthy    (0 votes, 0%)   Vote
Someone who has a net wealth of two million but is retired with no income is wealthy    (0 votes, 0%)   Vote
Someone with a net worth of five to ten million who is not working is wealthy    (4 votes, 20%)   Vote
Other (Please explain)    (0 votes, 0%)

Pretty new but could get fun.

They forgot the one that would get 90+% of the vote.

"If you're not on welfare, you're wealthy."

"If you're not on welfare, you're wealthy."

That'd definitely win by a longshot

2. Income is not wealth. If you have to work, you aren't wealthy.  Or at least that's how I see it. Even at $100,000 per year, you would still have to work decades to save up enough money to live without working.

 :rotf:

So I guess Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Donald Trump etc aren't "wealthy", because they do still work. :mental:

This is the mentality that'll keep AKA Dick Tyrant working paycheck to paycheck for the rest of his/her/it's life.

To be fair the DUmmie said: "If you have to work, you aren't wealthy. "  Bill Gates and the others don't have to work, they want to.

The Mike 03 primitive is the one who recently fellatioed Skin's in order to be reinstated.  Being rich to him is having enough money to dry clean his blue dress.

Expecting a homeless person to carry around their own shelter like a common animal is degrading to the homeless.

Does it only come in one color?  That's discrimination.

Where are the pillows and blankets?  You just hate the less fortunate.

It's a ridiculous item.  Some other homeless person would just steal it.  Besides, once some bum has passed out and defecated in it, it would probably never get used again.  And it's plastic... it would stay in a landfill for a billion years before it started degrading which is where every one of those things will wind up anyway.

Whatever happened to cardboard boxes and newspapers?  These new bums and their fancy doodads. :lmao:

Looks like an AMC Rambler/Marlin.  Would be worth a few bucks today, regardless of the condition... enough to get a cheap apartment.

Let us not forget religious persecution against atheists. That mobile home has a fish emblem on the side.

DUmmie gets one part right and one very wrong.  This is why they never amount to much.  Yes, if you have to work you are not wealthy.  On the flip side of that DUmmie says "have to work decades to save up enough money to live without working" and that is the worst answer.

To get wealthy you don't save up money .... you invest the money in something that will give you a return.  This is where the DUmmies mess up all the time.  You want retirement income?  Buy some rental homes; Buy a parking garage; Buy anything that will give you a passive income while still increasing in value, THIS is the true way to wealth.  Hell, even if it is stocks paying dividends.  Saving the money WILL take decades to get you enough for retirement.  Letting that money work to make you more money will get you retirement income in a few short years if you do it right.

Want a new Harley?  Take the money you would have spent on the bike and buy a small house.  Let the rent pay for the house AND the bike.  Stupid DUmmies.

Are we into the discussion on what is wealth and what is money.?

I dunno ... I can tell you that true wealth is having enough passive income to cover all your expenses.  Once you've acheived that you work because you want to and not because you need to.  And this can be done at any income level.

The way Obama and his merry band of idiots think...if I still have money in my checking account when my paycheck arrives....I am wealthy.  :thatsright:

Not to worry though....taxes are going to take the left overs.  :censored:

You know, if they put in a global banking tax... more people will operate in cash.
