Lots of people from both Country AND Western music.  :-)

Some surprises, i.e. Kid Rock and rapper 50 Cent.

Incidental: I remember hearing on the radio some time last year that 50 Cent was not too wound up about people downloading his songs p2p. His rationale was they may be taking his songs for free but as fans they would later go out and buy his other merchandise so it all came back to him eventually. Considering the stink the RIAA and groups/performers like Metallica have raised over the years I thought the view was innovative and clear-headed.

Not that it's surprising, but I like Ditka. I'd love to see him giving a locker room halftime-style speech on the floor of the Senate. I'd also like to see him make Chuck Shumer do 50 push-ups and run 2 laps around the Capitol Building every time he proposes something stupid.

I have a bit of a problem with the "qualifications" that the web site states for some of these people.

Just because some Irish tenor singer sings at a Republican function of whatever type doesn't necessarily mean that the tenor is conservative or a Republican. It simply means that he's a musician and that he, most likely, got paid for his work.

It's a gig, people.

As a confirmed musical whore, I'd even play for Lord Zero -- as long as the price is right.

And Don King is not what I'd called a ringing endorsement of conservatism or the Republican party.  :lmao:

ETA: A couple of these guys are dead. Ron Silver croaked a year ago. Ditto for Charlton Heston, though his passing was a couple years or so ago.

Sean Hannity has 3 people on his 'Great American Panel' every night. One is always a Repulican, one is always a Democrat, and one is either an Independent or another Republican.

Some of the Republicans have been a surprise!

The lead guitar player for Aerosmith backed McCain during the election and said he was Republican as well.
