Title: Washington DC snowed in
Post by: YupItsMe on February 10, 2010, 04:26:07 PM
News said this a.m. that 263,000 federal workers have not been able to get into work for three days now.  Everbody doing OK out there without them?  :sarcasm:

Let's try 10 days and see how that works.

I'll see your 10 days, and raise you 1,075 days.  Bring on the mini ice age.

Shep Smith reported that tomorrow has been cancelled also. Even White House staffers aren't reporting.

Hmmm.....White House is saving taxpayer money though....Obama's stranded there and can't fly off any where..... :evillaugh:

What a bunch of pansies. In the Midwest, 1 day would have been a long enopugh shutdown as we actually know how to live and get around with lots of snow.

I kind of feel sorry for the people there.  They aren't used to being self-reliant and dealing with whatever nature dishes out.  I wonder how many can live comfortably in a cold camp, or ever thought about needing to.

Just got back from subbing on a pool league and everybody there, from both political parties, is thinking this time out for the feds might be a good thing.

The longer DC is shut down, the better off America becomes.

It truly amazed me how unprepared that place was to handle any kind of significant snowfall.

I always assumed that being that far up on the East Coast they be better prepared.

Shows what happens when I assume.
