Title: Challenged Back Home On His Right, McCain Stays Away From Climate Bill

Sen. John McCain once led the global warming debate on Capitol Hill, pledging to force repeated floor votes on cap-and-trade legislation until it passed.

"Over time we will not be elected Miss Congeniality in the Senate, but we will win," the Arizona Republican said in April 2006.

But McCain has gone on hiatus from the issue since losing the presidential election to Barack Obama. And he is likely to keep his distance even more over the next six months due to a primary challenge from a conservative former congressman that threatens to end his Senate career after four terms.

"The political climate has changed, and that's why you see this campaign-year conversion in John McCain," said J.D. Hayworth, who represented the Phoenix suburbs for 12 years, in an interview yesterday.

Kick his ass, JD!

I would LOVE to see McLame do the duffle bag drag outta the Senate.

He needs to go back to Arizona, put his cute little Sahara hat on - you know, the one with the neck scarf - and write his memoirs. He can climb back on his "Straight Talk Express" bus, drive down to the border, and suck some illegal ass.

Great!  It's time for him to go, particularly for his stupid 'Kill what's left of American industry' stance on climate.  He can retire and work on making his yard green.

Senator,

You don't have many years left. Spend them with your beautiful wife and trust us to make do without you.

Senator,

That's just it: McLame is a Progressive, just as much so as is any Progressive on the Dim'Rat side of the aisle.  In his mind, we're all just stupid sheep which need him to do as much for us as humanly possible.  He cannot envision any circumstances in which we could not possibly need his benevolent guidance and rule.
