It's an AP story, so nothing to bring over. But apparently he had a stroke. They flew him to Anchorage for surgery, but it didn't take. It's a shame. I really liked him.
:(

Dang. We liked him too. Prayers for his sons and family.
-
Prayers for him and for his family.....
-
That's to bad I really liked him. You could tell he loved those boys. Thoughts and prayers.
-
Phil was always my favorite. Godspeed, old man.
-
My favorite also...how sad. Prayers for his family RIP
-
I saw this on Fox this morning -- poor guy was only 53. Many prayers for his family. All those captains/crews seem very close-knit so I imagine everyone is heartbroken.
-
His health was an issue for a while. He didn't quit chain smoking.
He was the best character on that show too.
-
Phil was my favorite. I wish him fair winds, and following seas. He'll be missed by a lot of fans.
-
RIP Phil. That's too bad.
Prayers out for the family.

What a shame. RIP and prayers for the family.

Fair winds and following seas, Skipper. You shall be missed.

Not to seem callous, but this is "breaking news?"

Not to seem callous, but this is "breaking news?"
As far as I'm concerned.

As far as I'm concerned.
Yeah, well, more notable and important things I thought of as "breaking news" as far as I was concerned have been condemned to other forums.

Finally. See? You bitch and moan and act like a hurt puppy and people eventually listen. :naughty:
-
 I was going to move it to the Lounge eventually.
