I've never been fired before

It's wierd. The weirdest thing is that I don't care too much because I was embarrassed to be working there. I was pissed earlier and told them where to go. But, man, now I'm just awstruck. You grow up with the belief that if you work hard and what not you'll be okay. You don't count on the fact there's morons all over. At least I've been getting emails of encouragement from people who have the jobs I want one day. Now, I'm just hoping I can get some getback. But, my ex-boss is such an un-ambitious loser that I'll never have that chance. At least I got to tell him, "Coming from this paper, it's an insult."
Well gee, think telling your boss off could have had something to do with your being fired??? :whatever:
And it's obvious that you care; if you didn't, you wouldn't be online asking for kudos. TOOL! :loser:

2. Neither have I.............
But I sorta wish I would be fired from my current position. I'm in way over my head and the only reason I'm still in this position is that I desperately need the $$. Unfortunately, the boss won't fire me because he's violently opposed to unemployment benefits (and having to pay them).
Anyway, not trying to steal your thunder. Good luck in your job search.
This is why we call DU'ers losers.

You don't get unemployment for being fired, at least not in Georgia.

In Texas, it's the only way. You get fired or layed-off, you get benefits - unless the reason to fire was something compelling like theft or other unsavory behavior. If you quit, no chance at all for benefits- unless you quit for compelling reasons such as unsavory business practices you can prove.
-
In Georgia you don't get any kind of benefits and you're essentially on your own. I got fired from my last job and while it was a messed-up situation I got back out there and had another job in about a month.

Maybe it's you that's the moron.

My first thought was BS.
My second thought was first job.

That's because you've never had a J-O-B before.
Smoking pot all day and killing brain cells at the DUmp ranting against Bu$hco doesn't qualify as "work".
