Are DU'ers more likely than the general populace to have been victims of bullying?

I suspect so. Mainly because most DU'ers think deeply, and people who think deeply tend to be the targets of bullies.

I suspect so as well, but rather because most DU'ers are the whiny little Dexter in school that looked down his nose at everyone else (including teachers) and opined continuously about the perceived shortcomings of his oh so inferior classmates.

DUmmies think that are being bullied when anyone disagrees with them.

Absolutely yes.  Especially since they are playing the perpetual victims of society, it fits them perfectly.

2. And the converse question.. Are freepers more likely to be bullies than the general population?   Updated at 2:00 PM

I suspect so. Because freepers are shallow thinkers at best and shallow thinkers tend to be bullies.

Yeah we are such shallow thinkers we don't believe false data.

Ever notice how obsessed they are with convincing themselves and each other how angelic and perfect they are?
Deeply insecure and always paranoid that they are being oppressed...makes it very easy for a tyrant to lead them around.

Anyone who plays the victim card as much as they do draws bullies like a lightbulb draws moths.

First of all, the opening salvo in this thread made me LOL.   :lmao:  Good find, NotaDummie.  I imagine if I rowed over and read the whole thing, I would become nauseated.

And, I think Splashdown is exactly right.  Perennial victims are just asking for it.  The cool kids don't respect that, and the bullying types will sense a weak victim.

IOW they want to spit out their nonsense and not get punched in the face for it, and if it does then claim it happened because they were "thinkers."  Doesn't work that way, primitives.  Besides, if you're as smart as you believe yourselves to be, you'd never say or do anything that would place yourself in harms way.  Right?

You'd think, if they're as smart as they believe they are, they'd be able to convince us neanderthals about the greatness of their ideas and policies. Their big thing is this or that person is "too smart" or "too nuanced" for us mere mortals. Seems somebody's intelligence should include the ability to communicate and some of that nuance would include ways to explain esoteric bullshit they consider intelligence.

11. "Too bad it gets buried in the shit-piles of "outrage." ... +1

What's with everything having to be an "outrage" or "un****ingbelievable!!!!1!1"

If DU was a person, they'd be a paranoid schizophrenic.

Kinda reminds me of OMC. At any rate, it's not long for this world.

Perhaps they have it backwards.  Perhaps the bullying led them towards the victim mentality, which led to them becoming DUmmies.

Considering 50% of them are sissy fudgepackers, yeah, I believe they probably get bullied on.
