I actually WANT Sarah for POTUS.
Obviously living through Bush wasn't enough.
I can't think of a quicker and more relatively painless way for America to SOMEHOW, just maybe, realize that the "other side" is nothing more than fatal to Democracy.
And perhaps that, in it's horrific glory, might somehow usher in a new age.
I'm dead serious. (and I can tell you that as an ex-patriot who is reluctant to set foot in his home country today, I'll be riding it out elsewhere, HOPEFULLY safe from harm!)

In other words: they're hoping Palin would do for the left what Obama did for the right...
...except Palin wouldn't.
Personally, I don't want the governor to run for anything, I think she'll be far more effective as kingmaker and too vulnerable as a candidate.
-
This very line of thought was the upside of Obama's election for me, back in November of 2008.

Considering how much she got done in Alaska in taking on the establishment I think she's the only one with ball enough to do it. Everyone else is too concerned about reputation and legacy. Sara Palin isn't like that. There's a chapter at the end of her book written by one of her constituents in Alaska (I think he was a commercial fisherman) that talks about all she did, most of which, apparently couldn't be done by any previous governor. She was loved by the people and hated by the political establishment. Kind of like Reagan.

I still think she would make a better Veep than President - Palin is an extraordinary motivator, and would be most useful at getting people behind the administration's agenda. She may eventually grow into a presidential role, but I don't think she is there yet.

Apparently you've never heard of the amazing talents of one Barak Hussein Obama who has single-handidly demonstrated that, when it comes to being fatal to Democracy, he is currently in first place without a worry of being overtaken.

She is the only one that has the backbone to actually reverse the spending freight train wreck we are on. The rest of the Republican just want to put an band-aid on it rather than use a scalpel.

Or give a pain pill instead of surgery.

Generic store brand over the counter ones to boot.

I like Palin in speech mode. Not sure she's ready for Pres. She could definitely be a maker and shaker. That would do more for the party than running. Repubs need to get back to their conservative roots! Until they do, Im going to be skeptical on whether or not they can fix anything.
ETA: ( I think Allen needs to wade back into the fray. If he started now he could overcome the hatchet job the MSM gave him over "Macaca". He's a damn fine man and needs another chance! )

I think that she'll be kingmaker--for Rick Perry. Then, she'll take the mantle from him.

I will never vote for Rick Perry.

Who the hell is Rick Perry?

What he said.
I think Palin has a chance to be a big force in changing the face of Congress. Running for office on her own? Probably not... I don't think it suits her.
Just my two cents.

Who the hell is Rick Perry?
The Governor of Texas. Governor Perry has the Sarahcuda campaigning for him in Texas, against Kay Bailey Hutchinson.
