After seven long and dreary and lonely years, that clarebootheluce e-mail address of mine is finally getting used, by primitives from Skins's island wishing to express their righteous indignation at franksolich specifically, and decent and civilized people in general.
I have no idea why that is, but I'm always open to communication.
One message in particular from an irate primitive stuck out, charging that we "snoop" on the primitives, pointing out the example of the greenbriar primitive, the TOP PRIMITIVE OF 2009, in which her real name was revealed.
(Before I go any further, the record shows that the greenbriar primitive herself divulged her own real-life name before decent and civilized people were aware of it.)
I dunno about this "snooping" deal; I just got done reading a book by Lucius Beebe, reading words he wrote himself--using primitive standards, I guess I could be accused of "snooping" on the author, and even "stalking" him.
Decent and civilized people, unlike primitives, recognize and respect boundaries; I have no idea what anybody else here defines as "boundaries," but my own is that I watch, and comment upon, the primitives only on Skins's island.
I'm aware, for example, that the Die alte Sau, the dysmenopausal Kansas school teacher, the "Proud2BeLibKansan" primitive, posts on some web-site other than Skins' island, and in fact is more venomous and hate-filled there, but what the Die alte Sau says, and does, off of Skins's island is of no interest to me.
(Disclosure: there is an exception, that of Fat Che, on whom I occasionally check in his new digs, so as to be assured Fat Che's still eroding in obesity and deteriorating health, but there's a real-life reason for that.
(In case anyone has forgotten, it was Fat Che, along with Doug's ex-wife, the sensitive piano-playing primitive, the Bostonian Drunkard, some short little guy from the Mike Malloy site, and some rectal aperture from one of the "Santa" cities in California, who publicly posted my real name and address, and then threatened to, uh, "play baseball" with me.
(Per common sense, I gave the information to law-enforcement, who dismissed them all as "keyboard warriors," but as a courtesy to me, checked into them, and later showed me photographs of all six of them, which included two that were mug-shots.
("They're all 'keyboard warriors,' but I'd keep my eye out for this [Fat Che] character, however, this [Bostonian Drunkard] character especially, and probably the rest of them, couldn't hurt a flea with a bulldozer.")
It's the idea of studying something under "controlled conditions" (such as in a laboratory), in this case the "laboratory" being Skins's island.
As mentioned before, I've always viewed watching the primitives on Skins's island as a substitute for watching television; and as with television, one knows only what one sees on the screen, nothing else. One could, I suppose, go out and buy People magazine and the Soap Opera Digest, and read the tabloids, to get further information about the "stars," but I imagine even if I did watch television, I wouldn't waste my time.
It occurs to me that if personal information about a primitive slips out, it's the primitive giving it to the world on a silver platter, such as when the sparkling husband primitive unwittingly revealed his Italianate background when showing off his dogs, or when the late and much-lamented Gloria Swanson, the "Tangerine LaBamba" primitive, unwittingly revealed her real age in a heated discussion with the antagonistic Mrs. Alfred Packer (the "hippywife" primitive) about cheese food.
&c., &c., &c.
What one knows about the primitives, whether a great deal or very little, comes from the primitives' own mouths, nowhere else.

No; I've seen a preponderance of cardiac problems recently around here. Not weak stomachs.

How do you snoop on a public forum?
Maybe they consider it snooping when they post some bouncy involving car crashes into laundry mats or other things that should be newsworthy and some of us check out the internet to see if it really happened.
-
Anyone who thinks we have "snooped" on the DUmbasses simply hasn't had the stomach to read their own posts. From Mark, Holli, and Pam Dawson's names, their home on Greenbriar Lane in Wichita, Pam's school and principal, Mark's alcoholism, Pam's gut, her chemo, to her lust for the cruise ship cabin boy, it all came directly from the things she stupidly posted on the innertubes. And, considering she is a pathological liar, suffering from a variant of Down's syndrome, much of it is likely untrue. The same applies to DUmmy Husb2Sparkly's being confined to the basement toilet, DUmmy Warpy's drug addiction, the diseases afflicting the genitals of the slave girl Jeanette, DUmmy walldude's firing, and the dismal living conditions suffered by DUmmy Mythsaje's family. Poor, stupid Beth Ferrari has described in detail how she has moved into the cramped little camping trailer out in the California desert with her mother, two big dogs, and now a brother, who is as mentally ill as poor, stupid Beth. No snooping, just laughing at the endless misadventures of an incredible collection of losers and lunatics.
It's like being accused of snooping as you stand laughing by the rail at the zoo's Monkey Island.

I consider the whole place a sociological study in group think and mass hysteria.

Hey, it's a great teaching tool.....my son reads their stuff and says, "These people are freaking nuts."
-
Not in the least.
Since all primitives insist that only they are smart enough and duly qualified to decide what is best for the country they have openly invited scrutiny.
One wishes to find out the exact qualifications of those who presume to be their master and it isn`t our fault if that scrutiny reveals by their deeds a group of demented freaks.
-
If they didn't persist in airing their dirty deeds, lies and mass idiocy on a public forum no one would know anything about them.
This is so typical of them; they want their 'right to free speech', then whine about it when someone reads what they say and point out the insanity.
Tell them to petition Skinner to make the Island a private forum if they care so much.
-
No. They are welcome to quote me, if they want. It would be fair, and as FGL pointed out, these are public forums.
Oh, I forgot, they aren't "allowed" to acknowledge the existance of opposing views much less print them.

How do you snoop on a public forum?
This reminds me of when the Scamdal was going on five years ago, and Doug's ex-wife whined that she was being "stalked" by supporters of open and honest fund-raisers.
Doug's ex-wife, when complaining to the primitives, made it sound as if the members of Scamdy, from Maine, from Maryland, from Ohio, from Washington, from Texas, from Florida, from New Jersey, from North Carolina, from Oregon, from Wisconsin, from Nebraska, from &c., &c., &c., had all gotten into airplanes and converged upon her neighborhood in San Francisco and were standing on street-corners and in telephone booths, watching the entrance to her place.
Yeah, right.
One day when the Scamdal was going on, I was seeing an attorney about something else (accounting work), and brought up the allegation by Doug's ex-wife, to which the guy responded, "Well, if Beth chooses to parade naked down Main Street at noon, she doesn't have any control over who sees her, and who doesn't; she can't select her own 'audience'."

Coach, it's a good analogy, though I'm sure that I'm not the only one who wishes that you used another bearer of the X chromosome to illustrate your point. (Must find more mind bleach!)

You know, this is one thing the subway cat does right.
And kudos to the subway cat for that.
The subway cat's a very prolific poster on Skins's island, and even has her own web-site, and is possibly perhaps maybe a member of various "social network" groups such as MySpace or FaceBook.
The subway cat's probably all over the internet.
Usually a primitive, being careless and stupid or both, would let something slip, giving the primitive's name or address or place of employment (or the nearest welfare office), especially if that primitive chitter-chattered a lot on the internet.
However.
However.
However.
The subway cat on the other hand knows how to protect herself; I doubt anyone here or anywhere else could possibly dig up her real name (not that anyone would want to) or other real-life details about her.
I dunno if it's just dumb luck, or if the subway cat's actually figured out how to do that.
But at any rate, that's a mighty smart move on the subway cat's part, and I compliment her for it.

The primitives are the type of people who will moon you then get pissed that you see their ass.
-
You know, madam, I've always been a big proponent of my fellow alum Skins "mentoring" his charges about personal safety on the internet.
I've made that suggestion many times here; they're on the record.
I'm a nice guy, one of the nicest guys one can hope to meet, and so while I loathe and detest (most of) the primitives, that doesn't mean I wish any harm to come to them. I'm all for my fellow alum teaching the primitives how to protect themselves.
I started feeling anxious for the privacy of the primitives when the sparkling husband primitive lit a campfire boasting about his pet dogs (in the cooking and baking forum, no less!), and then gave the link to photographs of them.
I didn't have to punch on the link, to go to this other site to learn his name, because there was the sparkling husband primitive's name right out there in the open for any and all to see, www.[his real name].com, or something like that.
(I disremember the sparkling husband primitive's real name--as I'm not interested--but it was about as Italianate as "Gambino" or "Luciano" or "Valachi" or "Falcone" or "Meyer Lansky" or "Leggio" or "Corelone" or "Borgia" or "Gotti" or "Buscetta" or "Bonanno"--those sorts of names.)

lol.
Btw- Once you see a few pics of Subway Cat, you never want to see more.

I knew her first name at one time.....can't remember it now for the life of me!
One of the freaks who corresponds with her online uses her first name. He calls her Jill.
To me, UGP doesn't seem like a "Jill".

She may have started life as Jill or Jane but she wanted to be a Tarzan then a cat and now she/he/it is a Shazam.

You pricks who are stalking Pam Dawson should lay off her, and go after whoever voted "Maybe" in this poll.

Morris?
Garfield?
Felix?
Sylvester?
Anything ringing a bell here?

I voted "yes" on the platform that I just get sick of seeing all the "DUmmie" threads. I don't get why anyone ****ing cares, really? They are pathetic, and I came here to avoid such pathetic people. However, their forum continues to be the most posted on this forum. I'm not deriding those who find enjoyment/entertainment in all the DU threads brought here, but I don't enjoy them for the most part. And thus, my "yes" vote, although I would phrase the answer, "Yes, we rely too much on Skin's island for material."
-
One can only 'snoop' when looking into things that aren't openly discussed and mentioned by the primitives -- HOWEVER -- the one thing that many fail to grasp is that we, as well as others with functioning minds can take the threads they willingly toss out there and re-weave them into the tapestry they were pulled from.
Its like the cooking and baking primitives with their single-use cookware.
Many seem to fail to grasp that every word, like every pot and pan they own, isn't an island.
As for their ability to divulge too much, I remember a post I had made at our old home about a primitive who posted a cropped satellite photo of its house and surrounding neighbourhood, which included some interesting geographical features.
With that photo, and a post that mentioned the state in which the primitive lives, I was able to determine the primitives address within one or two homes -either the house next door, or across the street. I posted a message that I had hoped got back to the primitive that I knew where he lived, and if he needed proof, I would provide it via PM if he signed up.
The primitive never did.
Could I "Snoop" if I wanted to ? You betcha. Could others snoop on me ? Easily. I have left more than enough clues as to my identity and residence making it super simple. But, frankly, they don't interest me enough to warrant it. And I suspect I don't interest them enough either.

Someone doesn't understand what "The DUmpster" is, or may be in the wrong place. Check out coach's excellent stickied thread "DUmpster Forum Rules And Links".

well there are tons of other forums here you can read. Some of us enjoy having an outlet to respond to the lunacy on display at DU. If they would let us post there then this part of CC would not exist.

True.
There's a lot more to conservativecave than just the DUmpster.
conservativecave is whatever one wishes to make it.
I've always been a big advocate of posting in other forums here, and the more the merrier. There are no obstructions to posting about other things in other forums; the door's wide open, and the more who come through, the better.

Yep CC is like a buffet you only put the food you want to eat on your plate.

Sites like ConservativeCave.com are a neccessity! Liberals are in full attack mode to try and fundementaly change our country. Their lunacy and outright socialistic tenedencies need to be exposed for the bolshevick philosophyies they are!
I consider it my patriotic duty to expose traitors to my country!
-
Definately no. In fact, the primitives need to be exposed by their real name and address just like a child molester needs to be exposed via public record. If they're gong to hold the ridiculously stupid anti-American viewpoints they do, then at the very least the general public needs to know who they are and where they live.
.

I totally agree... that's where I spend most of my time. I do enjoy the other forums here. :-)

The forum I used to frequent and which ultimately led me here was a place to complain about one's inlaws. Mostly, daughters-in-law complaining about their mothers-in-law. That place was absolytely RABID about never posting material from other websites, the logic being that their own posters may, in a moment of angst, post delicate revealing information that they might later want removed, and if it were carried off to another locale, could not be. So they were extending their "protection" to other sites as a matter of course.
I'm sure maybe once, some gal really did post personal information about a truly homicidal mother-in-law who found her out. Maybe once. But for the most part, they were just a bunch of bitchy, catty, ungrateful control freaks who would complain about anything and everything (and most probably had DU names). I believe that if you put it out there, you should be responsible for it.
And swift removal of a posting doesn't always thwart the google cache.
