Obama tries to rally Democrats, defends healthcare overhaul
The president urges the party not to abandon his agenda. Some members express skepticism toward their leaders.

Reporting from Washington - Attempting to rouse a party shaken by electoral setbacks, President Obama told fellow Democrats on Saturday that he would press ahead with his healthcare proposal and other pieces of his ambitious agenda, rejecting suggestions that a more cautious approach might minimize losses in the upcoming midterm elections.
Obama, who left the White House during a blizzard, sought to rally Democratic National Committee members in a speech that was part pep talk and part prescription for what the party must do to overcome problems culminating in the loss of the Massachusetts Senate seat held by the late Democratic icon Edward M. Kennedy.
Trimming goals and postponing hard choices are the wrong approach, the president said.
In an emotional high point of his 20-minute address, Obama conceded that the public wonders whether elected officials can overcome the immense power of lobbyists and special interests and "confront the real problems that touch their lives."
He said: "So just in case there's any confusion out there, let me be clear. I am not going to walk away from health insurance reform. I'm not going to walk away from the American people. I'm not going to walk away from this challenge. I'm not going to walk away from any challenge. We're moving forward."
His voice rising, he added, "We are moving forward!"

I noticed a subtle change of emphasis in the soundbite I heard from that speech, he referred to it as 'Health Insurance Reform' instead of calling it 'Health Care Reform.'
Hmmmmmm......

I hope he moves so damned far forward that he falls off the face of the earth....I also noticed the change in his language, now it is health insurance reform not health care reform??? Hmmm what happened there, and does he think no one notices the change in his language?? Oh that's right, we aren't nearly as smart as he is, so of course we wouldn't notice that...And Mr. Obummer let WE AMERICANS make ourselves clear...We ain't a buyin it, you don't know clear from a pile of shit...Pardon my French, but did I make myself CLEAR????

Libs are good at trying to repackage their ideas every now and then when they realized no one is buying it.
Global warming became global climate change so it's no surprise that they are trying to repackage this as well.
I wonder if congress will sneak in measures again that contradict what he promises. :lmao:

God only knows what congress or he might do at any given moment....They are such a bunch of nut cases.they talk with forked tongues and smiles on their faces.....I think they all sleep in the same bed.....
