DUmmy MichaelHarris spins a bouncy tale about bumper stickers hostile to the jug-eared Kenyan muslim. He loses just a tiny bit of credibility when he confuses True Value and Ace Hardware, and thinks it was a True Value selling Ace merchandise. He loses a ton of credibility when he claims to be assembling an 1851 Colt, not exactly a common pastime for a Dummy:

President Obama and True Value
Write the True Value headquarters until I can verify it also sells Ace stuff.
Yesterday I went into True Value in Clarkston, Washington looking for a gun bluing kit for an 1851 Colt Navy revolver that I'm building. No, this is not a gun post, I could have been looking for duct tape. This post is one of the reasons I'll never support the NRA or any other Second Amender.
When I got past the fishing section and into the hunting section there was a 6 foot revolving display of bumper stickers. Every single one of them had violent hate filled messages about our President. Some even had gun sights superimposed over his face. I normally have a camera with me but I didn't today. There were over 150 stickers and each one had a different vile message.
Above the revolving rack there was a large sign that read, "If these messages offend you then GOOD! Maybe it's time you read the Constitution again, especially the second one." I told the manager, after I dropped the items I was going to purchase in the middle of the floor, that I have read the constitution and no where in it did I see the President depicted as a pimp or a monkey. I also mentioned the fact that depictions of the President, any President, with rifle scopes aimed at them could be construed as a threat. I know the Constitution gave someone the right to make those stickers with those messages just as it gave me a right, ergo the reason for this post.
I will exercise that right now. Please join me in a letter writing campaign to the corporate offices of True Value voicing your concerns over threats and racial depictions of our President. Just as they have the right to print the hate-filled messages, we must exercise our right to not shop at ANY True Value. From the Corporate website:

we've created a compelling shopping experience for consumers
It seems the one in Clarkston is owned by a bigot and hate-monger who wants to promote fear and sell bullets.

I shopped for years at big Ace and True Value stores in Ohio. I don't remember a fishing section or hunting section, but I suppose it's possible at some franchisees. It isn't possible to have Ace merchandise at a True Value franchise store. It also isn't possible for someone who likes to assemble firearms to refer to ammunition as "bullets". (Unless it's a joke. I've many times heard shooters at a skeet range saying they need to go to their car for more "bullets" to shoot another round. But DUmmies do not joke.) A bullet is a component in reloading.

2. That store is a franchise owned/operated by someone other than Ace Hardware.
Now you can suggest to Ace they should stop supplying that particular store or pull the license or some such.
I would probably just make a quiet phone call to the FBI about that one bumpersticker.
Why not suggest it to Sears? They are just as involved.

7. It is privately owned but
the question becomes, does Ace want to be associated with this message? Do they want their corporate logo tied to this message?
You cannot find a privately owned store that sells guns, ammunition, or reloading components that does not have some kind of bumper sticker, sign, or even target that is unfriendly to the muslim. He is universally loathed among their customer demographic.

18. Thanks, a letter to Ace should be polite and just alerting them to the problem. Got it!
I am glad you took your business elsewhere.
A doubter:

9. Yes, I shop at my local Ace hardware all the time
There are actual people there to help you and are knowledgeable, as opposed to Home Depot. I've never seen anything like this in that store, and I've been going there since I was a kid with my dad.
I would stop shopping there if there was something like that.
Another doubter. The bouncy is starting to quiver:

10. The one by me is fantastic.
The prices are reasonable, the staff is helpful, the store is squeaky clean. They definitely don't have anything like that at all either.

4. It's absolutely crazy when you consider that Obama hasn't done anything
to provoke those bastards. Nothing except of course, be the wrong color.
Nothing, aside from being an anti-American, anti-military, anti-Second Amendment, ineligible, foreign, muslim leftist radical.

19. go back and get some pictures
and post them. We can attach them to the e-mails we send.
We're really sorry, but that just won't be possible.

Oh my.
I was under the impression--an erroneous impression, if one were to believe the primitives--that Ace Hardware and True Value Hardware are two competing chains.
I'll check into it, the next time I'm in the big city, and go to a Burger King to order MacFries.
-
I prefer Menards, they have cuter girls working the checkouts, but they have people that have been able to help me when the guys at Lowes couldn't or didn't want to take the time.
-
Have you seen the crap this knob posts in the gungeon? Blithering idiot.
-
A couple of Ace hardware stores in far north Georgia sell fishing stuff. But that doesn't mean this dummie isn't full of feces though.

By "fishing stuff", do you mean a few basic rod and reels along with some hooks, sinkers and maybe a few lures? That's about all our local one carries.
-
that I have read the constitution and no where in it did I see the President depicted as a pimp or a monkey.
THIS being posted at the dump after 8 years of them doing just that to President Bush??
Are they really that ignorant?
I do know the answer.
-
They've got one row side of fishing stuff, opposite camping supplies. It's mostly basic stuff as you mentioned.
-
Question.
What kind of a hardware store is a hardware store that does not have a line of fishing stuff?
It'd be like a liquor store that doesn't carry cigarettes.
-
I looked this place up. It does exist. True/Ace (http://www.insiderpages.com/b/3723257149) So I'll call in the A.M. to see if they carry Ace products and gun bluing kits. Oh, and hilarious stickers.

A friend of mine commented the other day that he thought Menards employees must have the highest suicide rate of any chain in the country, due to their constant replaying of the Menards jingle.

That would be annoying. Menards built and moved into a new location a couple of years ago, and they screwed up. The entrance and exit are far apart, so no matter where you park, you are going to have a long trek from or to the car.

I'm assuming that is actually intentional. Every newer Menards store I've seen is built exactly that way.

Yeah, but sometimes you just have to go there no matter the weather when the "honey-do" list is building up.

Coach, Home Depott sells hardware! Not fishing tackle! Big, big, big diff! We're in business to help home owners take care of their home improvment needs. Not to take 'em fishing. Oh, and if you're not knowledgeable, or don't go out of your way to help customers, you won't be working at the Depott for long!
You're thinkin' more of the small town general store that has something for everything. Around here, our convenience stores sell tackle. Our hardware stores only sell hardware, lumber and paint.
-
Yeah, but sometimes you just have to go there no matter the weather when the "honey-do" list is building up.
There's a method to their madness. The longer time they can keep you in the store, the more opportunity they have to sell you more stuff!
-
I really hate to say this, but what the hell. I work part time for the Depott. I was hired because of my contracting experience. They really are over the top in training and the "Home Depot way"! If you do not consider them the best thing since baked bread, they will make your life miserable or fire your butt. This basically pertains to their full time employees, associates they call them, but it still is a clandestine threat to part-timers.
Hogo Chavez has nothing on the management of Home Depot! Ask anyone that has ever worked there.
ETA: ( I wouldn't be surprised at all if they tried to run down my IP. It's not good to critisize the HD! )

I agree re Home Depot. It always amazes me how much detailed knowledge the clerks have. They have some young people that don't know much, but it seems like half the clerks there are retired contractors or skilled tradesmen. The only gripe I have is how hard it is to track them down sometimes.
