After 8 years of being ashamed to be an American, it is good to have a president that America can be proud of once again.

7. Wow...What a GREAT Speech. His BEST EVER!!!
He just kept nailing it. I'm amazed at how he packed in so much good stuff into one speech.
I was pretty hammered, and I could tell it sucked donkey balls. I guess getting stoned gives the opposite effect. It wasn't a State of the Union address. It was a campaign speech.

Dear Leader didn't say anything new, so you didn't miss much. He made some stupid appeal at the end for everyone to work together, and here he is the one who left the R's out of all the discussions. He got up, lied for 70 minutes, and nothings changed. Mr. Biden looked out of sorts, as did her husband seated next to her.

Yeah, I loved the calls for bipartisanship followed by the barely veiled slams on the Supremes, Repubs and others who dared to disagree with His Wonness.

After 8 years of being ashamed to be an American, it is good to have a president that America can be proud of once again.
This statement shows me the difference between 'rats and Conservatives. Even with despicable presidents like carter, the bent one and barry, I'm always proud to be an American...I'm disgusted with those that put these "men" in office, but thank God my Grandparents moved here. To all you 'rats... :bird:

I watched part of it, after 1/2 hour I switched it. The incessant applause, Pelosi jumping up and down, Biden nodding his head, and the zero himself. I can only take him in very small doses.

Rush was saying in his opening 15 minutes that the last 5-10 minutes of the speech were a little nutty, psycho. Did anyone last that long to describe it? Other conservative sites were hosting live drinking games during it, so they were probably hammered by that time, and would be of no help. :-)
Speaking of psycho, Charles Krauthammer called Obama "clinically delusional." He's a psychiatrist by trade.

That's when he did his stupid appeal for everyone to get along and tried to make out like he's been God's gift to transparency and had an open-door for everyone to present ideas. He tried to convince everyone that he really cares about the country as a whole, that Congress should do the same, and to oppose him wasn't helping anything move forward.
It came across like what he said to do should automatically be done, that he was a gift to the nation, and they better start marching in lock-step. Typical lib :mental: stuff.

Do a search for that. That's where you can tell Obama's winding up his speech and people get politely quiet (not that there's been a lot of restless shuffling before that, come to think of it). By the time he gets to, "No wonder there's so much cynicism out there." it's utterly quiet and then Obama's voice becomes softer still, so that people are almost straining to hear the next passages. It's effective stagecraft.
