Black Conservatives Comment on Brown Victory in Massachusetts
Errr... I would post this in one of the larger forums but I have a feeling that not only would it fly over people's heads but that somehow even THIS could be used to bash Obama.
"Black Conservatives Comment on Brown Victory in Massachusetts"
Black conservatives affiliated with the Project 21 leadership network are speaking out about the stunning victory of Republican state senator Scott Brown over Democrat state attorney general Martha Coakley in Massachusetts.
Choice Snips:
Kevin L. Martin: "Scott Brown's victory in the bluest of traditionally blue states can only be viewed as a complete loss of confidence in the policies of the Obama White House and its allies in Congress. People have tasted the fruits of a government dominated by liberal ideologues and they've not found it to their liking. What remains to be seen is if this repudiation has been heard and understood."
Horace Cooper: "Yesterday's victory by State Senator Brown is reminiscent of the upset off-year elections of 1994. Then, the Democrats could have seen the results for what they were - a repudiation of big government liberalism - but they refused."
Yes, my friends -- four of the nine black conservatives in America have spoken.
Seriously, this flies in the fact of the conventional DU "wisdom" of "Coakley lost because the Dems are not LIBERAL ENOUGH" and, of course "it's Obama's fault!" so I don't think it would go all that well out in the big forums. This whole Brown/Coakley/Massachusetts situation is godawful any damn way that you look at it, but this idea that a country that put Bush in office TWICE, and has large quantities of citizens who scream bloody murder at the THOUGHT of providing universal healthcare for its citizens (not to mention wanting to round up Hispanics and Muslims and ship them "somewhere else") is somehow rejecting Obama and the Dems because they are not "liberal enough" makes me want to scream.

8. Like anyone cares what a bunch of lawn jockeys have to say
there's nothing original there. It's not even their own thoughts, they're reading the script.
Like said above, and it's sad, but the populist anger is lead by the RW rabid teabaggers! Everyone here knows what's behind that. Even Clinton and Bush*, who would have started a revolution if his sorry ass wasn't saved by the Sept. 11 incident, didn't have to deal with "teabaggers".

12. I know they're reading the script but their interpretation of the Mass loss ("folks are rejecting liberal ideology") makes about 157,000,000% more sense than "liberals" screaming "we lost in Massachusetts because Coakley wasn't LIBERAL ENOUGH!!one!"
That type of thinking is so confused, irrational, and devoid of even basic common sense that it makes my head hurt and stomach clench just trying to process it.
Isn't "lawn jockey" racist?

Its Okay to be racist if your a leftist.

They can finally let their racism all hang out because they're speaking of conservative blacks. If they were as non-racist as they claim, that phrase would never have been in their mental vocabulary. Finally, a chance to utilise a forbidden phrase with impunity and vent some of that pent-up racism.

Well, they do win the prize for standing, running, and jumping gall for slinging "racist" at Republicans while having a gen-u-wine KKK member as their oldest senator.

If any CC'er had said something like that I'd be petitioning for their bannination.

I have never even heard the term "lawn jockey"...what does it mean, exactly?
Leave it to the liberals to have that in their vernacular.

Very true. It's ok to toss Oreo Cookies...refer to someone as a Lawn Jockey or a House N***** if said black person is Conservative.
Make a reference to the gangsta look of the Rutgers Womens b-ball team and it'll cost you your job.

Yeah, we know. Of course as long as they stay in the ghetto plantation and does what massa Dem party tells them to do, then you'll outwardly show them respect.

From wiki:
A lawn jockey, also commonly known as a "Yardell,"[citation needed] is a small statue of a man in jockey clothes, intended to be placed in yards. Most today are white jockeys, but historically black jockeys were commonplace. The lawn ornament, popular in certain parts of the United States in years past, was a cast replica, usually about half-scale, of a Black man dressed in jockey's clothing and holding up one hand as though taking the reins of a horse. The hand sometimes carries a lantern or a metal ring suitable for hitching a horse. Two traditional lawn jockey styles are produced, commonly known as "jocko" and "cavalier spirit". The former is of stockier build, with a hunched posture; the latter is generally slender and erect. Typically these statues are made of concrete but are also made of other materials such as poly resin and aluminum or cast iron. Despite being controversial, lawn jockeys are still in demand. Both styles are still manufactured and sold.
The African-American lawn jockeys often had exaggerated features, such as big eyes with the whites painted in, large red lips, large, flat nose and curly hair. These pieces were typically painted in gaudy colors for the uniform, with the flesh of the statue a gloss black. These statues are widely considered offensive and racially insensitive and many remaining samples have now been repainted using pink paint for the skin while the original sculpture's exaggerated features remain.

Sometimes I wish I'd saved all these racist comments they've spewed over the years so they could all be showcased in one place...African Americans need to know what the "average" leftist thinks of them. Like I've said before, they're just a bunch of mental tampons...white, pussified, and bloody stupid.

Yup - the former you need in your sensitive areas every so often, the latter you don't ever want anywheres near your sensitive areas, ever.

Mr White Flight Stormfront his self? That one was one wired up sideways hombre, way more so than his pappy, CEO/Cybil, the other White Flight Taxachusetts refugee. At least he could be funny on occasion.
Never knew his DU handle. Haven't seen a LTE in quite some time either.

Frank. You didn't need to post anything after this statement. It's where I stopped reading. If we had a post of the year, this would be a strong favorite to win. Although it's only Jan.
I can't believe that someone actually said it.

Where you around when the lefties were doing racist cartoons and name calling of Powell and Condi? This is just the peace loving, tolerant, and morally superior left.

You're confusing voting Democrat with being liberal, you dumbass.
Blacks are, by and large, socially conservative. Look at how many come out against gay marriage and abortion and illegal immigration. It's just that they've been sold a bill of goods for the last forty-five years by the professional race hustlers of the Democrat party, sowing the Big Lie that you have their best interests at heart, that they can't get along without the Democrats and the Gummint. All you've done is buy their vote over and over and keep them in the contemporary version of slavery.
-
I'm really surprised people aren't familiar with lawn jockeys. They are nearly as common as their ornament cousins, the lawn flamingoes and the lawn deer. Most, but by no means all, of the bazillions of lawn jockeys have had their faces painted white over the past couple of decades. Since they are, I believe, made of cement, they aren't going to wear out any time soon. You need to cruise suburban neighborhoods that were developed in the 50s, 60s, or early 70s to see the maximum population density of lawn ornaments.

They may be socially conservative, but the blacks I have met are some of the most liberal when it comes to the government and spending. They're worse than UAW members when it comes to whatever imagined grievances they think the government owes them money and services for.

Yeah. Both places. Old home and here.
They put it to Condi as they thought she was going to run for President. I was sorry she didn't.

LBJ knew what he was doing. His statement,* "We will have the ni@@ers voting with us for generations." was no idle boast. When African Americans were made to feel entitled to government redress of past wrongs, with all it entailed, they began to accept that they could not compete without it and that has become a self fulfilling prophecy. It is the most subtle form of racism, that of lowering expectations, based on a persons color and past not his persent ability. Liberals will never admit this, but, it is what they have created with feel good social legislation brought on by their white guilt. (the debate over intended vs. unintended consequences I will leave for now)
If you castrate a bull you end up with a poor dumb ox, correct?
*For the exact quote see his official biography by Doris Kern (Goodwin).

Same here. Those "conservative social values" they may hold are very lightly held, and always and forever trumped by self-interest in the form of government handouts and grievance "entitlements". And the ones I've seen rage the most against abortion (on black message boards) rage against it because "whitey" is supposedly using it as a form of "genocide" against blacks. Even when they kill their own children, it's the white devil's fault.
