It is rare, but gratifying, to find a thread where both the OP and every single DUmmy who comments display Beth Ferrari, weapons-grade stupidity:

It's time to CRUSH these giant corporations before it's too late - and here's how to do it
I do believe that we're at a crossroads regarding American democracy. Much like with climate change, if we don't take decisive action right now, then later on it might be too late. What we need to do is to get away from these giant monolithic corporations, and focus on a more regional level. Here's how Congress can effectively crush these giant corporations using the power granted to them in the Constitution's Commerce Clause.
1. Pass the Employee Free Choice Act
2. Repeal NAFTA and all other "free-trade" agreements that reward companies for outsourcing
(these are the two "easy" steps. the rest of these would require some serious congressional willpower)
3. Nationalize the following industries: banking, finance, energy production, public utilities, telecom, medical and health insurance (there may be others, but can't think of them off the top of my head)
4. Break up large corporations by passing a law that restricts companies to operating within states bordering the state they're headquartered in.
I truly believe that if we were to do this, we could break up the power of these giant corporations. We would return control to the regional level, and create more jobs in the process.

This guy is a Stalinist democrat, but not an orthodox DUmmy. DUmmy plans for destroying America always include legalization of dope, and lots of new laws for queers.

14. I, for one, would love to be so bored!
I'm behind any solution that involves working class strike-backs. Consumer politics only work on purely political issues (civil rights violations, i.e. the Coors boycott) you can't change capitalism by changing shopping patterns.
We need working class organization now. Within and without the unions.
No war between nations; no peace between classes.
DUmmy Mz Pip, the only voice of "reason", still supports this loony idea:

5. And we do this, how?
Not to be a wet blanket on all of these ideas but if we can't get through even a totally watered down HCR bill how the hell are we going to nationalize the banking, finance, telecom and other industries?
I'm all for what you suggest but I just don't see how any of it is even remotely possible.

15. If we had more people like Alan Grayson in Congress, we could do it in a heartbeat
I didn't say it would get done. I just laid out a roadmap for how it could get done.
What we need is a New Deal Manhattan Moon Project modernized job creation Thingy. And also save the environment:

One thing I'd add is to do whatever it takes to save the environment and to create a New Deal Manhattan Moon Project modernized job creation Thing.
You got my vote, Hugabear.
Just be sure the Thingy is modernized.
DUmmy kudzunumbers ups the ante: single-payer everything! And you know who that single payer would be:

9. I think maybe the red & blue america should
just go their separate ways. Let the red states have their corporate fascist state and the blue states have single-payer everything, and we'll see who comes out ahead. Think we can arrange an amicable divorce?

They will have water every other day, power 2 hours a day and 1 on Sundays, they will have to wait hours for a bus, or walk and there will only a few staples of food available at any one time in the state-run store, but which staples will not be predictable. Free healthcare is a wet rag and an aspirin. Everyone is always hungry.
Workers Paradise.

I have been to their utopia, the USSR in 1987. It was a Utopian delight. There were huge "fruit & Vegetable", "Bread", and "Butcher" stores. Really quite gigantic almost a block long. All of them had paper over the front windows. All had long lines from 4:00- 9:00. These all subsided at 9:15 when there was no product left. It was fantastic. The one and only product available was Vodka. That was fare easier to obtain than clean water.
Now I'm sure that the typical room temperature IQ moron at the DUmp would surely be the one person that would make communism/fascism/socialism work, so fare the rest of mankind has not. I still have a crisp $100 bill awaiting any DUmbass that renounces their USA citizenship and moves to one of their ideal communist paradises such as china, NK, VZ, or cuba.

China is getting less and less communist, except for the government. More or less. So leave China out, cuz Taiwan would be a cheap way out. Cuba and NK should be the choices. heh.

You forgot the gulags that would be put in place to house all the DUmmies that would dare to complain about the above conditions. Happens every time.
Also the DUmmies who think that they are owed something special since they supported the regime from the start will get a bullet in the brain. Happens every time.

Yeah, say, where do those nice cuts of marbled beef come from?
-
So you can only have what's produced in your state or the one or ones bordering it, huh......suits me, DUmmie......I think.
Let's see, I can drive a BMW or a Toyota, a farm tractor, have a riding lawnmower, ....plenty to eat ......plenty of electricity .....just one little problem, gas and diesel fuel...hmmmm ....Alcohol and biodiesel maybe..... What the hell will the people in Maine do?
If they pass something like that...I'm on my way to Texas or some other oil/coal/gas producing state. ....and iron/copper/etc. ore deposits.
DUmbass hasn't given his idea much thought, has he????? :rotf: :rotf:

Okay let's look at this. Texas, Oklahoma,Kansas,South Dakota,North Dakota,Montana,Idaho,Utah, Arizona,Alaska,Louisiana, Mississippi,Alabama,Georgia,Florida,South Carolina,North Carolina,Virginia
Tennessee,Kentucky,Missouri,Kentucky,Indiana,West Virginia,New Hampshire and Ohio can leave. Give
these states one decade, and let's see how the division works.
One simple rule, no fly overs.

The Dim'Rats couldn't even get that at their party convention 18 months ago. You know, the one where The Øne was Immaculated at that Greek temple to his ego they built out of Invesco Field? And Denver is nominally still in the breadbasket region of the country.

we will have plenty of beef and pecans too. lol. and Dr. Pepper.
-
Immigration should be one-way, however; you get to change your mind once, and change states; after that, you're stuck in the group of states you chose.
-

I'll feel right at home there.....plus I already have a lot of distant relatives there.

There was a campfire on Skins's island earlier today, where the primitives fantasized about where they would move, if they could leave the United States.
There were over 200 primitive comments.
Only one of them mentioned moving to Cuba, and the other primitives ganged up on him about "not being serious."
The usual primitive destinations were--well, you can guess, as none of them was one of those places the primitives praise.
-
Turns out that in those Single Payer nations, everyone works if they want to eat or live. Only the evil capitalistc nations have a complete lazy class that still eats and lives.

I'm just catching up after the weekend, I saw this on page 2. Gobucks, what a find! It's been read

They'd have food riots within six weeks. No dice unless we're allowed to shoot any refugees at the border who don't permanently renounce all bitching, voting, and public assistance rights.

You would do what all Utopians do when they acquire power: Start inquisitions and persecute and torture those not "Politically Correct" enough.
That's just what happens.
In order for a Utopia to maintain itself, no new ideas may ever enter and everything is a perpetual threat to the state.
-
How come they want to constrain corporate power to state/regional level but they wail like banshees if you mention the 10th amendment?
At least corporations don't have guns.
-
Their posts over there on the topic are starting to bore me to tears. No one over there, not one that I've seen, seems to know the difference between the words "person" and "personhood." So you get all these posts like "If a corp can do X, why can't a person" with the most stupid examples they can invent to try and prove whatever it is they already want to believe.
Look primitives, it's "corporate personhood," not "corporate person." There's a difference. You'll never grasp it, so just drop the topic.

I think they should. They should have militia. We can save taxpayer dollars
