A constitutional amendment to undo corporate "personhood"

Yes, this wording has problems for the "good guys" (a free press), but it is a start, and I invite, nay, entreat you to offer suggestions on crafting it undo the evil Fat Tony and his toadies unleashed on us yesterday:

"Corporations, partnerships, and all other "artificial persons", shall exists at the sufferance of the People, and shall enjoy only those rights and privileges, mandated by the People, while complying with all duties and responsibilities expected of the People."

You can try dummy but getting the constitution amended is a hugh process.

15. Which makes the current right-wing tea-party allegory quite ironic.

The Boston Tea Party was an act against corporate governance. The modern day teabaggers are protesting in favor of corporate control.

Wrong dummy we are protesting in favor of the American people.

8. How do we do it in a way that won't neuter unions?...........

I'm assuming we don't want to throw the collective bargaining baby out with the bathwater?

Have to protect those unions.  :-)

16. Your framing is good. Everyone knows fascism is bad - that's why it's hurled as   Updated at 8:37 AM

an insult so often - usually by people who have no idea what it actually is.

Yet all of DU turns a blind eye to Obama's fascism.

Take heart DUmmies this ruling may turn out to be good for you yet. When corporations can stump for lord 0's re coronation. I am sure one or 2 will.

Oh damn.

Hypocrisy must be in full growth on Skins's island today.

The malicious cartoon character primitive, this "KelvinMace" guy, is the owner of a corporation, doing Desktop Publishing of comics-books out of his home, and his second home, both down there in North Carolina.

The malicious cartoon character primitive has long ranted against corporations.

But he's one himself, and one reasonably assumes the malicious cartoon character takes full advantage of all "breaks" accorded corporations.

Primitives, Hypocrisy is thy name.

Unions.  527s.  Corporations.  501s.  Non-profit organizations.  Collectives.

How come some groups of like-minded people were more equal than others?  Why the panic?

"Slaves and all other "artificial persons", shall exists at the sufferance of the People, and shall enjoy only those rights and privileges, mandated by the People, while complying with all duties and responsibilities expected of the People."

So they want to destroy the freedom of association? A Corporation is just an association of people.
