1. I think it is def. time to term limit their asses.... that way there is a check on the Senate.
Those people are supposed to do the check and balance on a nominee. Most of them are egotistical clowns. I think 10yrs is more than enough time to wreck havoc on the system.
If I'm not mistaken you will have to amend the constitution to place "term limits" on SC justices.
The founding fathers wanted impartial people sitting on the bench. They did this by making it a job that once they are appointed they are not dependent on congress or future presidents to keep their jobs. The idea is that way they are not beholden to congress or the white house in any way. Corruption can still exist but this was one way that was supposed to deter corruption on the SC bench.

Bingo! There you go thinking again. :thatsright: Cut it out, you're confusing them.

"We don't like!!! Change it!!!" Waaa Waaa!!"
Crybabies.

Sometimes the change they put in place bites them in the butt. Thanks to them being short sighted there had to be an election in Mass and Scott Brown is now a senator. :lmao:

Opening a can of coke confuses those morons. :-)

Like the leadership of the donks and most of the MSM, these people make 21/2 year olds look mature.

Liberalism/LittleGoonism must live in the Now and not consider tomorrow. Any delay or time for reflection means the pursuit of their goals will be stopped. Just look at "health care".
Yes, sometime this comes back to bite them, but that's just the chance they have to take. Liberalism must be a perpetual motion machine, consequences be damned!
-
Wouldn't the first batch of Supreme Court justices to be retired, be the ancient liberal ones?

I think the idea is to knock all 9 of them out and start over. :-)

I was going to point that out. Then I thought, "Nah, those Little Goons must have thought this through." Maybe they are thinking about applying term limits to any and all future Justices. We would certainly have to "grandfather" all current justices who were sworn in prior to the constitution being changed.
You know: Stare delicious.

The dims have had control of the White House only 21 years out of the last 58.
So go for it DUmmies...... :-) 2/3's of the court will be conservative.

Not all nine, they would keep the one that Obumbler got on the bench.

Can term limits be placed on the Supreme Court?
No. The Supremes don't serve terms. Idiot.
-
It is amazing how stupid they are about how our government has been established.
Should also add forgetful because into the 80s every idea that they didn`t like was branded as unconstitutional on the faith that the liberal Burger court would strike it down.
-
There is a one term limit DUmmie, a life term
-
They are already limited to a single lifetime appointment, although a few, like Thurgood Marshall, have exceeded that by a few years.
-
I guess they have forgotten what happened the last time the libs tried to pack the supreme court.
It's wikipedia I know but it's a pretty good recap of the events.
first liberal failure (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judiciary_Reorganization_Bill_of_1937)

Wait. Time out. I call shenanigans. This can't be real. Are you guys trying to tell me the OP at the dump is really this clueless?
It doesn't seem possible. I figured their stupidity level would kind of plateau after a while. Yet each new thread dug up from there just keeps on raising the ante.
Sweet Bippy! I needs a drink.

No. Period. It would take a constitutional amendment to do that, because the Constitution provides that "judges, both of the supreme and inferior courts, shall hold their offices during good behaviour, and shall, at stated times, receive for their services, a compensation, which shall not be diminished during their continuance in office" which means you cannot remove them, unless for bad behaviour, until they voluntarily choose to retire, or until God decides to involuntarily retire them.

You forgot to add Ginsburg and Stevens to that list.

No. Can never assume these DUmmies, as we call them, will ever plateau on their level of stupidity.
-
Damn. I don't know how much more of this I can take.

These people could not pass a basic general knowledge quiz. They are so mis-ill-un (misillun) informed they just do not know anything, or rather they think they know but what they know is bunk and tripe. This guy doesn't even know how the Constitution is amended.

The DUmp is a lot like Congress in general:
I could count on one hand the number of them that could pour water out of a boot with the directions written on the heel.... :hammer:

too bad they don't have free speech for corporations in Venezuela. Chavez has shut down one of the two main opposition channels, RCTV.
He also declared that he is the people, and demanded absolutely loyalty to his leadership.
He is a mini-Hitler. No wonder DUmmies love him.

If all the grand ideas the DUmmies have come up with were actually implemented, America would be a steaming open septic tank. They are about as stupid as a sack full of ball peen hammers.
-
For the self-proclaimed most highly-educated and politically-sophisticated bunch of geniuses on the innernetwebz, they sure don't seem to know Jack Shit about the U.S. Constitution.

That reminds me of a news story from northern Ohio, maybe 20 years ago. It was around this time of year, temperature in single digits. An enormously fat woman, on the order of the Las Vegas behemoth except for being ambulatory, walked across her backyard, and her huge weight caused her to crash through the corroded top of her septic tank and the thin layer of soil covering it. She ended up several feet below ground, stuck up to her waist in sewage. Her shouts for help were not loud, coming up from underground through the new hole in her lawn. At any rate, there was no one around to hear her, due to the rural neighborhood, the exceptionally frigid weather, and the fact that she lived alone. So she remained stuck for, it seems to me, at least two or three days before finally being discovered by a visiting relative who happened to notice the caved in spot in the lawn. So rescuers came with some kind of winch, and hauled her back above ground, smelling like bobbolink but otherwise unharmed. In a TV interview, the fire chief was asked how she avoided frostbite over a period of several days, including subzero nights. He said it was due to the natural warmth of the decomposing sewage.

Now that, is totally disgusting! Funny, but disgusting! Hahahahahahaha!
