I'm convening a People's Grand Jury investigation here at DU today.
This is to present evidence that can be used to indict subjects engaged in criminal activities-even if they are corporate entities, political parties or sitting in high office.
Present your briefs and accusations in this thread, name those individuals and organizations believed to be engaged in criminal activities directed against the citizens of The United States of America.
This is a DU grand jury, we only present what we think should be used to indict and accuse.
DU it.
The first response was....surprise.

6. Conducting psychological operations and propaganda are illegal-so is allowing secret operatives to
pose as employees-there are quite a few other offenses that come to mind, like revealing the identity of a person engaged in nonproliferation of nuclear weapons while covert.
Clearly this is a person that has no idea about what they speak
Not a lot of activity yet but I expect it may get interesting.
At least one is trying to shake a stick in the lions cage a little bit.

8. Ladies and gentlemen of the jury.........
.....I would like to put forth, for your consideration, a violation to our justice system, of such a heinous and egregious manner, that it beckons one's soul to question even the basics of our so called civilized society.
Yes, I'm talking about this thread. For one to think they could seat a jury, a grand jury no less, before they were even voir dired, and expect there to be even a hint of legitimacy, is a crime, nay a travesty, of our justice system itself. This act of shear undemcratic and judicial treason requires that you find the OP guilty, and nothing short of that.
I rest my case.

Would it be too much to ask for a recitiation of the relevant statues?

Everytime something like this comes up I'm reminded of the old Star Trek episode with Trelayne and his so called courtmartial of Capt Krik where Kirk had no way to defend himself and all of the charges were what ever Trelayne said they were.

Too many people it seems think that the TV style "People's Court" equals the Justice System. As the DUmmie Uben pointed out, it just equals Mob Rule.

Uben may well find himself TS'ed by the DU lynch mob.

Or better yet...Q considers humanity too barbarous to expand any further, and he sentences the crew of the Enterprise too death.

Exactly right. And these are the better people?

I'm holding an ex parte hearing to determine if all DU members should be involuntarily committed for psychiatric observation and evaluation.

I still find it amusing that they think he committed crimes, yet they cannot provide the specific laws that he broke. :mental: :lmao:

I wouldn't worry about them getting together and making this happen. They have a hard time organizing bake sales as it is.
