Fifty Senators and the VP Gets Us Medicare For ALL!

Just remember that in the next few weeks while all the spineless, corporate-bought Democrats, pundits, bloggers and posters are screaming about only having 59 votes in the senate. They could easily pass medicare for all through reconciliation (yes, it does affect the budget) and all this would be a distant memory by November.

Instead, they will do their little kabuki dance for another several months, get nothing accomplished and then cry about losing control of both houses in congress.

It kind of makes you wonder why they'd fight so much harder for a lesser plan, doesn't it?

The DUmmy unwittingly just told all of DU that the repukes can't be blamed for the HC bill not going forward.  :-)

Now why I brought this over here,

7. They could also end the anti-Constitutional filibuster.

That would turn the trick quite nicely.

All of a sudden the filibuster is not only bad but, unconstitutional. Back when the GOP controlled all three houses, the filibuster was the next best thing to sliced bread. DU begged their congress critters to do just that when it came to SC appointments and other things they didn't want the repukes to do. Didn't you goons learn anything, when you changed the rules in Mass in case Kerry won and it came back to bite you on the ass hard when Teddy went to the great bar in the sky?

Are these the same 'tards that were screaming bloody murder when the Republicans were going to use the 'nuclear option'?

Yeah, right.

The primitives must think the Democrats are going to control Congress forever and ever, and so doing away with the filibuster would be good.

I got news for the primitives--nothing is "forever," and while it may take years and years and years before the Republicans run things again, it's going to happen.

(disclaimer: I don't think it's going to be "years and years and years," but not being God, I must hedge.)

And when that happens--not "if," but when--the primitives are going to be bawling and screaming for the filibuster.

Damn, the primitives are stupid.  Just really stupid.
