Is this a big deal? I thought Muslims had to read the Bible in addition to the Koran. I like the story and would like to purchase one of these scopes. Just to have one.
I dunno' some people may be ticked off by this.....mostly lawyers I guess.

I wouls love to have an ACOG for my AR, but for the amount of time I use it, I can't rationalize the cost either.......I wonder where these guotes are printed on the scopes? Certainly not on the lenses.......

In the link they show a picture of the code, it looks like it's on the side. Everyone seems familiar with these scopes. What does ACOG stand for?

So I went over to the DUmp for the first time today. This story is front page news and the comments are breathtaking...in that I wish someone would take their breath away....permanently.
Anyway, it turns out (according to the DUmp) that this company and all who work there are Nazi fascist bastards who like to kill...but then the conversation derails. They talk about how IN and Out burgers are christian. Oh, and they call for an uprising in this country. Specifically the Indian Rebellion of 1857. (Apparently none of them know about the aftermath of said rebellion.)
So I may bite the bullet and buy one of these scopes after all.
It looks like it may come in handy.

Are you speaking by any chance of the problem where the British used pork fat to grease their ammo?
I find the line of thinking here as absurd and is dark humor. JMJ------So the company now has to come up with some passages from the Koran to use as a serial number.?
That Company gets my high 5 for resourcefullness and ingenuity.
A Scope is just a scope, it does not in any way cause harm to anyone. The weapon itself is just a piece of material until loaded. It is the projectile that causes damages anything, and nothing is said about the ammo being contaminated with bible passages, dogs blood or Bacon.
I have a hard head and can be confused easily---so here is my take on this new ruckus.
The Enemy has called this a holy war against us, everyone Christian, Jew, Budest or Hindu. They are out to kill everyone including their own people that do not bow to a few sects of their faith. [or even their own people if it will be to their gain
If this is not, as our Government says a Holy War, then what do they care what we place on anything to defend ourselves.? Why should any kind of faith be brought into it.? If we to defend ourselves want to paint big fat Buddha on our tanks, the Star of David or the Christian cross, what on earth has that to do with fighting people in a non-Holy War.?
Is there something in the war games manual that says we who are are about to die must not offend you first.?

Thread necrophelia, I know......however.......
I just received an email from my Goddaughter, who is an armorer in the NG, advising that orders have come from "On High" that they are to take a Dremel tool to remove the Bible references from all Trijicon ACOGs in military service, and paint over the ground area with a "sharpie"......
Apparently, the PC crowd in Washington just couldn't leave this alone.......
So Far, ancedotal......you guys serving might want to confirm this......

I'm really getting pissed off at these people that have misinterpreted the First Amendment. NONE of the founding fathers ever stated that religion shouldn't be observed within the Government. Jefferson was the only one that said that there should be a wall of separation between Church and State and that was to a Baptist Church in Virginia. The first amendment also allows us the "free exercise" of our religions. The current anti-God crowd is stepping all over that part of the first amendment. I absolutely HATE them!! (and "hate" is such a strong word.......)
