BNN: New Poll: Coakley Over Brown

Boston, Massachusett(e)s - New polling data shows embattled State AG Martha Coakley barely ekeing out a victory over her surging GOP rival state senator Scott Brown. The showing of a 51-49 Coakley win was described by one democrat campaign aide as, "the shot in the arm we need to motivate the base.

"It's not pretty or as comfortable a margin as we'd like," the aide noted, "but we take it."

Internal data from the poll revealed that oakley could in fact hold her own in a contest weighted 100% for democrat involvement, if all other democrat candidates had swept out to sea or eaten by lions. Even then a GOP-affiliated bowl of rancid milk could still best Coakley but the real game changer favors Coakley if poll respondents are played a recording of a bag of kittens being placed in a trash compactor.

"I think it shows the intensity Marth brings to this campaign," our source told us; although he declinded to say if the trash compactor belonged to Brown or Coakley.
