Title: How many animals DIED for your meals today?
Post by: Mr Mannn on January 16, 2010, 05:08:44 AM
My goal is at least one animal's passing for each meal.
AND this also counts towards the total: Products of enslaved animals (PETA argument: eggs, honey and cheese all come from animal slave labor-so they count as dead animals)

Friday's menu for Mr Mannn:
Breakfast: eggs, bacon and cheese: 3
Lunch (bonus!): Submarine sandwich supreme: with turkey ham and beef!: 3
Dinner: ate Chinese, sesame chicken and some duck dish I wasn't impressed with: 2

Total body count for Mr Mannn's dining pleasure: 8 dead animals.

So how many animals did you eat today?

So are PETA folks going to stop getting vaccinated with any vaccine that uses eggs as part of their base?  Hmmm.

They wouldn't have liked me yesterday.  I was on a ranch helping vaccinate more than 200 yearling hiefers against brucellosis.  Started the day in a coat with coyote fur trim on the hood.

I enjoy knowing that my lifestyle angers PETA.  :)

Remind what brucellous is.......TB?

40 years ago, daddy and myself were vaccinating 4 to 6 months old calfs against "blackleg". We had one bull calf that was pure wild....about 450 pounds. I tried choking him to death in the headgate but he could pull his head out anyway, no problem. I got my fingers in his nose and pulled his head around, picked up his front feet and slammed him up against the wall. I started shouting "Shoot 'im, shoot 'im"....so daddy reached over the top of me and "shot 'em" .....I got the shot in the back of my right arm.....must have been good stuff because I've never had "blackleg"...... :rotf:

Had a senior moment there....forgot what the subject was......

Yesterday...just a couple....but Thursday night I was on a roll, about a half dozer small catfish, 2 or 3 ocean perch, one flounder, a dozen or more large shrimp and two deviled crabs....the devil crabs really needed killing.

I will do better today.  Yesterday I just killed some pigs.  Ham once, and bacon once.  Mmmmm bacon.

Yesterday was quite light on the animal sacrifice front. Today will be much better, including ham bacon and beef.  :-)

I did not kill an animal yesterday. Today I plan on killing at least two animals....maybe three.

I killed 2 for lunch yesterday, 3 for dinner, and 2 for lunch today.  I will probably kill several more for dinner tonight.

Two.  One pig for breakfast, and one beef bovine for lunch.  I fully intend to go for the hat trick tonight.

Hmmm....didn't kill any yesterday...but the potato soup I made last night had a quart and a half of half and half, a stick and a half of butter and 3 pounds of cheese in it.....so I guess I drained a couple of milk cows.. :-)

Enslaved cows! That's the PETA definition. So it counts as a kill cause their lives suck.

I had a 3 ptarmigan egg omelet for breakfast and plan on having a big platter of buffalo ptarmigan wings for dinner.

But I don't see the need to kill them. I just cut off the wings and let them go (it's easier to catch them again if you want something like braised ptarmigan under glass or fried ptarmigan strips).

All I can say is that at this point 3 chickens are missing their breasts and 2 of their offspring.

We have quite the sacrifice here.

At breakfast, pigs died and Chickens and cows' slave-induced products were thoroughly enjoyed.

For dinner, I'm doing homemade spaghetti sauce. Pigs (sausage and country-style ribs), Cows (meat and milk for meatballs) and Chickens (eggs for the meatballs) all were slaughtered for the cause.

W00t!

I figured I would choke a chicken around lunchtime.  No plans for later today.

I took that a whole different way than you probably meant.  Actually, you probably did mean it that way.   :p

Had a big omelette for breakfast so that was about 6 kills.

Lunch was a Met-Rx bar so that was maybe 4 because they use powdered egg whites and milk in those.

Dinner will consist of beef and cheese in some fashion so that is 2. Might try for a baker's dozen if I drink some more milk tonight.

With all due respect, there may be more felicitous ways of stating that!

Yes.  It was very satisfying.  The drive-thru window was a little awkward, though.

All of this reminds me of an old joke, about the guy that went into the restaurant, and was told tongue sandwich was the special of the day....He adamantly told the waitress he did not eat anything that came out of an animals. mouth, and to just bring him an egg sandwich.... :-) :-) :evillaugh: :evillaugh:
