Bijou...RUN!
A wealthy businessman was arrested at home in front of his wife and young son over an email which council officials deemed ‘offensive’ to gipsies – but which he had not even written.
The email, concerning a planning appeal by a gipsy, included the phrase: ‘It’s the 'do as you likey' attitude that I am against.’
Council staff believed the email was offensive because ‘likey’ rhymes with the derogatory term ‘pikey’.
Somebody needs to be the bigger man here.

The 45-year-old IT boss was held in a police cell for four hours until it was established he had nothing to do with the email, which had been sent by one of his then workers, Paul Osmond.
But police had taken his DNA and later confirmed they would be holding it indefinitely.
The businessman, who has asked not to be named, was also fingerprinted in the police investigation estimated to have cost taxpayers up to £12,000.
He said two uniformed officers came to his house on a Sunday afternoon and said he would be handcuffed if he did not accompany them to the police station.
His computer and other internet equipment were also seized.

Family shut out of their 'dream home' by Romanian squatters who moved in over Christmas
With the building works nearly over, Julian and Samantha Mosedale and their three children were looking forward to moving back into the home of their dreams.
But their hopes have turned into a nightmare because a group of Romanians occupied the property over Christmas.
To add insult to injury, police told them that they were being 'racist' for questioning the squatters' right to live in Britain on benefits.
The unwanted guests have changed the locks at the three-bedroom terrace house and moved in their own furniture.

Imagine finally have found your dream house, you finally have the resources to buy it and fix it up. It'll be done and finished over Christmas vacation.
When you return, all expectant, you find a Romanian illegal immigrant family on welfare living there.
The cops do nothing more than to call you a racist for asking that they be evicted.
Welcome to the UK. Where self-defense is considered a worse crime than the offense.

Yesterday, the couple obtained a county court order giving the squatters 24 hours - until 2.15pm today - to leave.
But Mr Mosedale fears they will not give in easily.
He said: 'When the papers were served on them they tore them up and threw them back at the guy who'd taken them round.'
He and his wife are also worried that a drawn-out battle would exhaust their savings. They had planned to move back into the house in March.
Mrs Mosedale said: 'We were in the process of creating our dream home and it has been ruined.
'At the moment there are at least four women, four children and one man living in our home, but neighbours said they have seen many more people going in and out.
Aaahhhhh bliss.

Myleene Klass warned after knife defence

Police tell TV presenter she was acting illegally in waving kitchen knife at youths who were peering in window late at night
The TV presenter and Marks & Spencer model Myleene Klass has been warned by police for waving a knife at teenagers who were peering into a window of her house late at night.
Klass was in the kitchen with her daughter upstairs when she spotted the youths in her garden just after midnight on Friday. She grabbed a knife and banged the windows before they ran away.
Hertfordshire police warned her she should not have used a knife to scare them off because carrying an "offensive weapon", even in her own home, was illegal.
Klass's spokesman, Jonathan Shalit, said the former Hear'say singer was "utterly terrified" by the intruders and "aghast" at the police warning.
"All she did was scream loudly and wave the knife to try and frighten them off," he told the Sunday Telegraph. "She is not looking to be a vigilante, and has the utmost respect for the law, but when the police explained to her that even if you're at home alone and you have an intruder, you are not allowed to protect yourself, she was bemused."
Klass, whose fiance Graham Quinn was away on business at the time of the scare, is planning to step up security at the property, near Potters Bar, in light of the incident. The warning issued to the model comes after a pledge by Conservatives last month that they would make it harder for people who tackle burglars to be prosecuted.
The shadow home secretary, Chris Grayling, spoke out after Munir Hussain was jailed for beating a man who tied up his family in their home. He and his brother used a cricket bat to beat one of the intruders, who was left with a permanent brain injury.
A spokeswoman for Hertfordshire police said no reference was made in the Klass incident report about a weapon. She said the incident was being treated as trespass and "words of advice were given in relation to ensuring suspicious behaviour is reported immediately".

They've adopted the UN's premise that a person has NO right to self defense. Plain and simple. I'm sorry, that shit doesn't wash.

It's happened before there. Rome forbade civilians weapons and maintained order strictly through its civil government districts (Civites), reserving the right to use force unto itself.
