I bet the kids are loving that... I swear I want a snow day on Monday, please? :-)

It's 25* and snowing here. We actually have a couple inches on the ground in some places.
First snow of the year. :mental:
The latest I've seen snow here was the middle of March.

yes, they are...they have taken a break and mommy made them peppermint hot chocolate...I know, I'm the best :uhsure: :-)
As for me...I'm content to look at it through the window...I am a delicate tropical flower...I need greenhouse not an igloo. :hyper:

LOL -- well, I go back to Richmond tomorrow and have to get up at 3:00 AM to do so (damn time change). So my personal weather prediction is short-lived.

This is the latest I've seen it in my 6 years or so here. Usually it's still nippy for my son's bday on St. Patty's day, but spring is in the air...not this year. :thatsright:

Lots of rain here in eastern WV today.
I'm so ready for spring!!!

I am NOT going outside to take pictures. It'll just have to melt without my enjoying it.

I totally admit to my wimpness and ftr this is very unusual for central ohio..I think 1996 was the last time they got a 24 hour snowfall like this. The stores are still closed this morning btw :rotf:

The dog disappeared into a snowdrift this morning. One second he was there, then next, POOF!
And he's a standard poodle--not a small dog. Here he is the other day when there was still some "crust" on the snow...

You don't have a mechanical snow blower?
*looks at driveway*
*looks at shovel*
*goes back inside*

Yes I do. 10 horsepower, 24" wide, and 200 FEET of driveway to clear. Even with the snowthrower it's at least a hour to hour and a half job. And I can't get the damn thing on the back porch.
You know you're from New Hampshire if you've ever lost your snowblower on your roof.

*peeks outside at the sunny, but overly breezy weather outside*
:bolt:

Oh, the wind is coming tonight. 25-30 mph, gusts to 45.
-
Well we are unofficially up to 16 inches and counting....new record if it even holds close to the official reading.
-
We have had snow then ice then snow then ice then snow. Probably only like 4" but the ice is making it slick. We should get a couple more inches today and then 1-3 tonight.
-
Well we are level 3 now folks in my county which means...
A Level 3 emergency means that only emergency vehicles should be on the roads. People could be arrested if they decide to drive on local roads.
Fun stuff...they recorded 20.4 inches at Port Columbus Airport, but the official was 15.6 in the 24 hour period from when it started so it set a record that was 12 something previously...beyond 24 hours though we are closer to the 2 ft mark...wow... :o
-
Level 3 = yikes! Is it still snowing?
Are you near Columbus? My brother and his girlfriend live in Westerville. :lmao:
