Title: fill me in
Post by: satyesu on January 13, 2010, 09:10:20 AM
1. What do liberal politicians say (and how do they construe their politics and actions) to get elected?
2. once they are elected, what do they do to make govt bigger and impinge on private business, personal freedom in general, etc?
thanks!

1) They promise to "give" things to folks at the expense of "taking" them from others.
Make the group thinking they will receive something for nothing a lot bigger then those being took from and you appeal to the darkest parts of humanity...greed and envy.

2)Once in the take part begins and it starts to exist to grow itself therefore requiring more taking and more promises to the gullible.

Our leaders as of late have been "Robin Hoods". The difference being that they steal from the people.

Think about what Jefferson said at his first inaugural address:

"A wise and frugal government ... shall restrain men from injuring one another, shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government."
-- Thomas Jefferson

We haven't had "good government", according to Jefferson, in a VERY LONG time.
