DUmmy zanana1, who may be a troll, takes a hit from the socialist plan for medicine, and is appalled:

I just got back from my pharmacy. I'm in shock.
A prescription that used to cost me $14 with Medicare Part D now costs $90, effective Jan. 1. I had read that big Pharma was preparing to raise prices before the new legislation went into effect, but this is unbelievable. I can no longer afford this prescription. Well, I guess we showed them, huh?

Hope and change is a beautiful thing, ain't it?
When you get an outrageous bill, what's the first thing you think? Well, if you're a DUmmy, you think of the United States Congress:

1. Whoa. This is truly an outrage.
It should be required for all members of the Senate and Congress to LIVE with an "average" family for one week, see the income, the expenses, the prescription costs. I am convinced they have no clue -- we're statistics -- they just don't GET it.
And then what should they do? Send a check to DUmmy gately.
DUmmy walldude wants Congress to pay his bills. Since freepers got him fired for sabotaging his employer, it's been tough:

7. +1 Clueless they are. Living in a bubble.
No idea what it's like off the hill and out in the real world..
Talk about living in a dream world, how about DUmmy SoCalDem?

11. They are OUR "employees", aren't they?
Perhaps we all need to CANCEL their coverage.. Could we do it state-by-state, as we "send" them there?
They are the only batch of employees I know of, who get to determine their own wages & benefits, and we HAVE to pay it..
You can bet that nameless, faceless, anonymous, worthless DUmmy daa voted the straight socialist ticket:

3. After Obamacare passes what changes???
Sorta too late to be worrying about that, isn't it, DUmmy?
At least DUmmy Paper Roses has a plan. She's taking the Ladysquawk route:

9. Things just keep getting better and better, don't they!
I can't even afford part D. If I get sick, I'll have to find a high bridge and a cement block.
DUmmy Warpy makes a really, really stupid comment about hopey changey drugs:

13. That's horrible.
Your best resource at this point is your doc. Ask him whether or not there is something generic that will do the same job.
Generics are being jacked up, too. Fortunately, mine are all on lists at Wally's, Target and Costco, so I haven't been hit by them. Yet.
In some ways, this is a good sign. That last minute money grab means they know there are things in HCR that will derail the usual gravy train and they're trying to grab money up front. That's good news for us in the long term, although nothing is really settled as yet.
It's horrible, but that's good. What?

15. Well we wanted change. Too bad they didn't tell us the change would be from our 100 dollar bills.
Hee hee hee. Stop it, man! You're killin' me!

Or you could just ask your, umm, pharmacist...

Well, at least the DUmmie has a little common sense...

No wonder Warpy is a DUmmie. The only group collecting from the gravy train with HCR are the politicians. Drugs will be more expensive and so will medical care but I'm sure you will still blame Boooooosh.

And, horrors, check with Walmart.

Hmmm, sounds like one of their unicorns is missing, and possibly eaten by hyenas.

I can almost "feel" us getting more conservatives by the moment. :-)

It might just dawn on them that stuff isn't free and they will have to pay for it.
-
They keep getting surprised because they didn't want anyone to read the bill! DUmbasses.

Why wait until you get sick?
One less DUmmy parasite will help the village overall.

My local pharmacy & I think all the Wal-Mart's have monthly prescriptions for $4.
I guess they don't cover all the various maladies that the DUmmies claim they have.

True that. The $4 only applies to generic prescriptions if/when you don't have insurance to cover it. My wife has Medicare Part D, and hers are $7/month....
For DUmmie to be paying $90/month, that's a "tier 3" drug, and those are some high dollar meds.... :naughty:

Holy crap--I don't pay $90 for Lipitor--and I get a 90-day supply at a time.
-
It is a new year. New out of pocket expenses. The congress recently passed revisions to Part D. Increase in initial patient responsibility, larger doughnut hole. If people read their plan, they would know what was coming. The juice box primitives cost should decrease once it meets out of pocket responsibility. THen you and I will once again be responsible for 80-90% of its health care cost. Gives me a warm fuzzie.
-
Maybe DUmmie would understand this better.
Due to the budget cuts and rising cost of every thing, with the economy the way it is we have turned off the light at the end of the tunnel. Sorry for any inconvenience.
-
I can almost "feel" us getting more conservatives by the moment. :-)
The problem is that we don't have many real consevatives, all we have left is a bunch of McCains. :banghead:
How has your health been lately? :-)

I don't have insurance, but I qualify to receive healthcare thru a free clinic here....
I got 90 day supplies of Nexium and Lipitor for $4 each....

Before I pulled myself off of the cornacopia of meds I was on, my pharmacy bill was around 1,300 a month. Out of pocket. So, $90 really is pretty inexpensive for drugs for pain, depression, bi-polar, etc. They run around 200 a month or so each. If you can get freebies, or discounted, always go that route to try out meds. Why dont the drug poppers at DU know all this? They should have a combined encyclopedic knowledge of how to get free drugs thru pharm companies and the like. Also, how to scam doctors. I KNOW that a large number of them do it there, I have see ntoo many lies in their posts.

i think I was subscribing what would be considered normal hive activity. Which is a pooling of resources. I forgot the vast majority of the DUmmies are without mental reserves. And I forgot their key purpose is not to end pain, but get high. I still dont get those people. But maybe that's a good thing.

Heh, I use them to buy Lumigan (bimatoprost ophthalmic solution 0.03%). It's a glaucoma eye drop that they found also makes your eye lashes grow. A few years ago plastic surgeons were prescribing it off label to grow eyelashes (you don't put it in your eye like you would for glaucoma, you paint it on the lash line with an eyeliner brush). It costs $150 here but $12 at all day chemist (with a $25 shipping fee as it is coming from India). Same exact medication made by Allergan. Recently Allergan made them prove you had a prescription so All Day Chemist added Latisse which is the same exact thing by the same manufacturer but labeled for use for the eyelashes. Cost from $100 - 150 a bottle too (very very small bottle ~ 3 ml but you only use one drop for both eyes) but through All Day Chemist it cost $10 a bottle (with $25 shipping). I just ordered several more bottles (a couple for myself, my Mom and my Mother-In-Law). :p
-
See, you did what normal people do. Share neat info about stuff to grow knowledge. I forget they dont do that over there. I never knew that about the Latisse stuff. Cool.
-

Difficult to follow logic when you're high 24/7!

BEG, does that really work? Can you skip the mascara?

Yes Karin it really works. I'm going to post info on it in my thread in the health section. Go check it out.
