DUmmy TwixVoy is still out of work, apparently having failed the drug test for his promising chance of a job at the air port. That is disappointing, because during this period of unemployment Dummy TwixVoy has suspended his posts of financial advice, upon which many of us have grown to depend. So let's hope the 0conomy begins to improve soon, so that maybe DUmmy TwixVoy can get back on a cash register at maybe Big Lots, and can resume telling us what to expect and how maximize the return on our investments.

Yea, we are going to see job gains soon
"The stock market traded in a tight range on Friday as investors took a relatively weak December jobs report in stride. Employers cut 85,000 jobs last month, the Labor Department reported, worse than the 8,000 drop analysts expected."
The cheerleaders were out in full force the past few days shouting down anyone who brought facts out against ONE article the MSM was passing around saying the jobs report today would be great.
It's a shame so many are out of touch with reality. If you were unemployed at the moment seeking work you would see just how bad the situation is right now. (as I am)
We have have a net LOSS of jobs in this country since 1999. It take in to the upper hundreds of thousands rage of job gains EVERY MONTH for many many many months just to bring us to where we need to be.
Unfortunately the private sector doesn't care about job creation since the feds hand them all the cash they need, and that's why none of this is getting better for the common person. We continue to see the legal limit of work visas being handed out, we continue to allow corporation to outsource our jobs, we continue to drive to drive up an economy based on financing EVERY aspect of our life in on credit. We are in massive debt at all levels - government, business, and private. We don't PRODUCE enough anyone with out "service economy".
Until these things change anyone thinking we will have any real job growth is in la la land.

Unfortunately, most of that net job loss has occurred since the dems won their majority, and the Kenyan came on the scene. During the nightmare of the Bush years, the country was at or nearly at full employment, even including the millions of illegal Mexicans the democrats love to protect.

7. We're locking this.
The term "cheerleaders" is a broad brush general attack on other DU members.

Twixvoy might just be too stupid to rake leaves.

Hey, dipshit--if that were the case, I'd quit my job, file an LLC, and come back to work for my employer as a contractor, and get all that "free cash" you seem to think they're doling out to businesses.
Whoops--banks and automobile makers. My bad. And FWIW, were I in fact a "private sector" employer, I would DEFINITELY care about creating more jobs/positions, provided I could afford them. Why, you ask? Because a larger workforce can produce more, thereby selling more, thereby making more as long as the public wants my product. Kinda funny how capitalism works that way, isn't it?

Alright, I have coffee every morning with at least 3 fellows that have been unemployed for a year now. They readily admit that as long as Obama keeps funneling them unemployment checks they aren't even going to look for a job. A 76 year old man that has coffee with us was delivering paint to auto repair shops for a company. He got laid off just before Christmas....He went to work monday for a new company.
DUmmies aren't gonna get off their ass and find a job until they're hungry and out in the cold. Obama is paying his voters with your tax dollars to sit on their ass and wait for the next election.

My brother wasn't getting enough work hours from his security company and now is about to work at an auto dealership's service center apparently. Kind of fast, he'd never file for unemployment benefits. Probably doesn't know what they are, heh.
