I found a place in Portsmouth that does VERY good sushi.  Any NH visitors, call me beforehand.

BTW--I "invented" (read: stole) an idea from my favorite all-time sushi place (Yakitori II--San Diego) and had them make it for me.  It's called Pizza maki.

Take a CA roll, top the slices with spicy mayo, put it in the toaster oven till the mayo just starts to brown/carmelize, then top each piece with a little dot of Siracha hot sauce.  Friggin awesome.

I've had it a couple times, but I never know what to order, so I usually just get something else.

Just tell them you want your sashimi medium rare.

I'm not a sushi person.  I have no animosity towards sushi or those who enjoy it.  I just don't care for it.  I don't like caviar either.

I'm not really a sushi person, but the stuff I've tried probably wasn't very good.  Tasted like a mouthfull of wet seaweed.

I do like a good ceviche or medium-rare tuna.

I've eaten probably every kind of sushi to include horse and whale but I don't particularly like it. It seems to taste like "gelatinous nothing".
My wife, who is Japanese and was raised in Okinawa, doesn't like sushi either. Go figure.

Actually, sushi is a wasabi delivery mechanism.  I *love* wasabi.

I concur. I can feel my nasal passages clearing just thinking about it.

I do like wasabi.   I last had it at Christmas.  It was so good with the cold shrimp.

I hadn't thought of doing that, that sounds good.

Must...resist...driving...storm...bad....

BASTARDS!!!

Screw all ya'll.  When the lobstahs start running again and the price comes down, I'm going to eat MORE than my share and not let any of you have any.

It's nice living in a place where lobsters go for $4.50 a pound....(just not this time of year).

I didn't think I'd like caviar because I don't generally care for fish roe.  I tried caviar a few months ago and loved it - it wasn't at all what I expected.

You think that cow you're eating lived in a spotless environment for its entire life?

Wow.  Phallac overtones?  I just don't see it.  But then, I'm not looking for them.

I love sushi.  Yum!  I haven't had it in a while though.  :(  Must try and go for sushi next weekend.

I could definitely go for some yellow tail right now.

Speaking of sushi, once I was out with my SIL and nephews at the local sushi place.  The youngest loves to dip his fries (they do chicken fingers and fries for kids there) in the soy sauce & wasabi mix.  And I had gotten some salmon roe and he was eating them one at a time, sucking out the "juice" and leaving the skins behind.  LOL   :lmao:

Sushi , Sashemi , nagiri , are all great.

Sashemi should be served "twitching".
