Any other single DU'ers annoyed by the constant stream of match.com, eharmony.com, etc. ads
this time of year?
"Maybe this is your year to meet someone"..bla bla bla...
"this is where hasn't met the right guy meets maybe the right guy".. yeah right..
These companies are preying on people's loneliness and unhappiness this time of year and they alway crank it up to insane levels right at New Year's day and right afterwards.

14. Been single my entire life, can't say the ads have ever bothered me.
I don't buy the "you need someone else to make you complete". I am alone but not lonely and I prefer my own company to most people I know or have met. It keeps my life simple and I like simple.
Ugly and crazy. It's the only explanation.

18. Yep. The sites are pretty loathsome
whatever you do avoid eharmony. It seems like their avowed mission is to pair liberals with redneck repugs.
Sounds like Lorien had a bad experience. Just a tip here, once you go repug you never go back. :lmao:

27. I did ok with Match.com

No complaints.
A female friend is on 'plenty of fish', and she is positively overwhelmed with responses....
I think my son trolls that site. SKANKY. He calls it plenty of, you know. :-)

30. eHarmony
They are also very anti-gay. I believe it took a court order for them to allow homosexuals to use their site. Even if I were into dating sites I would avoid eHarmony at all costs.
Why would homos want to go on a Christian site ? Just asking.

33. Yeah, that sounds about right.
They're not real fond of Atheists either.
It's a faith based site DUmmy.

31. not really.
But then again I don't watch much TV. I may find the right woman some day but it won't be through any internet matchmaking site. Especially not gay-hating eHarmony.
I'll bet you could find a lib chick at one of those weed shops. eHarmony doesn't hate. They want to pair men and women up for marriage, not public toilet hook up sex.

34. They annoy me because I no longer feel any desire to "couple up"
on any kind of permanent basis. Once loneliness turns to solitude, you only want the "mate" there long enough to do things...then you want them to just ****ing go.
Poor boo. Probably not into bathing and shaving regularly.

He/she/it is either SO unique that no one else exists, or he/she/it misread the "0" a thought it meant "none" instead of "O"bama.... :rotf:

I want to say its impossible that there wouldnt be someone who they matched you up with, but then I try to think what insane crap that the DUmmy might have put on the profile. I guess that makes it make sense. Plus, there was probably a pic involved.

Needless to say, Ad-Bot has eharmony, Christian Dating, and match.com at the bottom of the thread. :lmao:

I heard that there is actually a certain percentage whose answers don't fit into whatever matrix e-harmony uses, and so they can't match them. A friend of a friend had that happen to her.
I signed up for plentyoffish.com for the heck of it, and it was full of weirdos.

Looks like the dyke dating scene isn't going too well for this carpet muncher.

Come on, Celtic, give us some examples. It'll be funny.

I'll tell this DUmmy the same thing I told DUmmy DIRankin:
I'm pretty sure $kimmer has a response to this very question on the DUmp's Frequently Asked Questions page - somewhere below the "Who's bogarting now?" but not quite in the "When does the next welfare check come out?" area.
I think his answer went something like: "DONATE (you dipshit) and all those ads you hate so much will miraculously disappear."
Geez; for such an enlightened bunch, they sure do have difficulty reading at the DUmp.

Remember, that happened to me as well, and I don't consider myself weird.
Well, not THAT weird, anyway.
Can I have my handcuffs back now?

Just how much of a loser do you have to be to not find ONE match out of 7 million people!

IIRC, dude, eHarmony says they can't find matches for something like 20-25 percent of the people who do their questionaires.
Frankly, I'm not worried about it. The right someone is out there.

I'll agree with that. Most of the time that person is found when and where you aren't looking.

Every time a DUmmy complains, some other DUmmy will point this out. I'm surprised Skammer doesn't find a way to limit Adbot to ads for Ann Coulter and Glenn Beck books. It would increase his bottom line from the DUmp.
