Title: oops, exercise not paying off for gigantic primitive (update 01-04)

Very quick post to let y'all know I'm still here.

My chafing issues due to exercise really got out of hand. I had to spend the last three days getting everything healed up enough to be able to get back on the recumbent tomorrow. I guess I'll be going through these cycles (pun intended) until I'm down another 50 - 75 lbs. or so. I'm definitely not giving up on the exercise this time, but I need to manage myself very carefully or I'll end up in a seriously bad way.

Jeanette returns to work tomorrow, so I'll post more then.

And then:

Please excuse me while I feel very upset and non-conversational for a while. I wasn't even going to post this much, but that that is is still that that is.

I'll be exercising again today now that my chafing is almost gone. I'll post my times tonight.

That plateau's about as big as the Mesa Verde, it seems.

Better luck in 2010, one hopes.

When looking at the numbers, one suspects the gigantic primitive should go back to whatever he was doing in July and August, and quit doing what he's been doing since September.

Whatever that is.

Remarkable. If he stays on this pace, by the end of 2010 he'll be at....436 pounds. Looks like there is no sidewalk pounding or job searching in the foreseeable future. Just more video games, enormous meals, and backbreaking work for Jeanette the slave girl. Jeanette would be better off if greenbriar owned her.

Once again, proof that the gigantic primitive is a liberal.

We all know the definition of a liberal--someone who tries the same failed thing over and over again, expecting a different result the next time.

The guy's got to get ideology out of his weight-loss plans.

Well "he that owns his own time zone and has the equivalent gravitational pull as a medium sized moon", grab a 5 gal bucket of industrial Molly bearing lube and a roofing tar mop and slather that rancid lesion scarred pustulated acreage between your legs with 2" of lube and peddle your tree-stump feet to the limit!

Oh and swapping out 1000 daily calories of empty white starch carbs for lean protein will do more for weight loss than 10 hours riding your little crotch scraping trike.

How many separate saddles does that take on one cycle?

He is loading up on carbs, fuel, and not burning it. I suspect he upped his carbs in anticipation of his grueling workouts.

And we told Jeanette over and over again about these starchy white carbs served in big bowls!  It went right over her head and she refused to even entertain the advisability of lean proteins.  I don't get it.  Kirk is at a plateau, and it will discourage him to the point of scarfing down a pizza or two.

Kirk is at a plateau,...

Agreed.  Minus surgery of some type, he can diet and exercise all he wants and not lose at this point, at least not significantly.  I highly doubt he'll ever drop below 420, much less 400.

I disagree.  I suspect that his diet is the problem.  I'm certain that if he found the right diet which allowed for a sufficient calorie deficit, he would start loosing again immediately.

I agree with Celtic Rose on this one.

Also, I don't think he is healthy enough for that kind of surgery.

Okay, how about if Jeanette locked him up in an elephant cage, and gave him through the bars only one bowl of gruel a day?

That sounds grossly inhumane, and something one wouldn't do excepting under the most dire of circumstances--so as to save someone's life, just as the subway cat's sometimes put into restraints--but whatever else can one possibly do?

The guy's a clear-cut case of Erysichthonism.

You misunderstood me.  I'm talking about the mental part of being able to do what it takes to lose.  When it comes to politics, libs are an emotional rollercoaster.  And we see that scene played out in things other than politics in their everyday lives.  He's experiencing the same thing with his desire to lose weight.

I hesitate to get involved in this debate so late in the game. Don't know a whole lot about the LVL, but, here goes. I agree with you CR, and many others here...too much rice and beans, and boiled potatoes, and veggie Subway subs. Eat fruits and vegetables, fruits and vegetables and more fruits and vegetables. One piece of boneless chicken breast and a plain baked potato a day. When hungered through the day, munch on carrot and celery sticks or eat an apple. If LVL can't ride his bike because of chafing, pick up some canned food and start doing some damn curls and overhead presses with the cans. Excercise that upper body. Get some 2 lb and 5 lb dumbells as he gains strength.
My two cents...

I have no idea what that word means but any time someone proposes locking up a DUmmie, I'm all for it.

"Erysichthonian" = an insatiable appetite, where one consumes the whole world and all in it and still isn't satisfied.  One ultimately ends up devouring oneself.

I invented the word last year, and think it's a great word.

That is a great word.

I invented it to describe the primitive propensity to endlessly devour the emotional and financial resources of their families and the taxpayers, to consume them to utter depletion, but in the physical sense, the word seems to describe the gigantic primitive also.

He would probably be one of those who has the surgery and then drinks copious amounts of water to stretch out his stomach again so that he can gorge himself.

After having read the gigantic primitive for so long, I've come to the eminently reasonable conclusion that he's lying about what he eats.

I'll bet the gigantic primitive's a food-eating machine with really big, well-oiled jaws.

HA!  Very well could be.  I'm just looking at his weight loss chart and he's been stuck in the 435-440 range,  Like you said it could very well be he just needs to adjust his diet, but I suspect it's more than that.  But that's all it is, my suspicion.

I believe that's right. IIRC, he drinks soda, liters of soda a day. As his wife stated, the water in Vegas does suck. I think the gb who lives in the basement has requested they don't get a filter for their tap. Can't figure that one out.

The gay roomie in the basement doesn't want a water filter. So obviously they do not get one. Don't you let the gay roomie in the basement make your decisions for you?  :p

So if it's the case and fagoomie has a reasonable case for his No Filter stand then get one of those Britta Pitchers and filter your own water for your own use. Easy-peasy simple solution.

I have this feeling LVL is still eating the same amount of food thinking that if he just eats what he considers healthier types of gigantic portions he'll lose weight. His plateau he currently resides on will become his home if he doesn't kick himself off of it. His metabolism will compensate for the food and exercise.

His carb intake can NOT be good for his diabetes. All that rice and potatoes are just converting over to sugar which his body is hoarding away because he's cut back on his normal sugar intake.  He needs to drink more water, cut down the carbs and eat more filling useless foods with no actual nutrional value like celery and stuff like pork rinds that will fill his chewing cravings.

There are so many proven weight loss tricks out there that no one should be as big as he is, no one.

I'm going to say he most likely doesn't drink enough water.  If he drank an 8 ounce glass before every meal and before every snack he would not be that hungry.  Another thing keeping his weight on ?  What he puts in he doesn't take out.  The water would help in that area also.

I'm concerned about the chaffing.  He could catch his bike on far.   :-)

far = fire

It's the native lingo around here. I'm trying to fit in.

The McDougall diet IS mostly starches. Beans, rice, potatoes form the backbone with fruits & veggies making up the rest...no dairy or meat. It's a low fat diet and extremely flawed as it doesn't recognize the importance of good fats and lean proteins which are probable THE most important component in any weight loss diet. It also only recommends moderate exercise (that's probably best for someone his size) fresh air, sunshine, and water.

Well, the Las Vegas Lardass is a DUmmy, so the chances are nearly 100% that he's lying about his weight. More likely he's near 500.
And it's doubtful anyone has ever lost weight when his normal portion size of rice and potatoes is measured by the washtub.
