Title: Danish police stop murder attempt on Mohammad cartoonist
Post by: WMD Owl on January 01, 2010, 09:55:55 PM
COPENHAGEN — Police foiled an attempt to kill an artist who drew a cartoon depicting the Prophet Muhammad that sparked outrage in the Muslim world, the head of Denmark's intelligence service said Saturday.

Jakob Scharf, who heads the PET intelligence service, said a 28-year-old Somalia man was armed with an ax and a knife when he attempted to enter Kurt Westergaard's home in Aarhus shortly after 10 p.m. (2100 GMT) on Friday.

The attack on the artist, whose rendering was among 12 that led to the torching of Danish diplomatic offices in predominantly Muslim countries in 2006, was "terror related," Scharf said in a statement.

"The arrested man has according to PET's information close relations to the Somali terrorist group, al-Shabaab, and al-Qaida leaders in eastern Africa," he said.

Rule #1.. Any dirtbag that shows up on a terrorist watchlist from any Nation doesn't get a Visa to enter your Country.

Rule #2: How this terrorist, along with the terrorist that tried to bomb the flight into Detroit, even gets inside the Airport Terminal... amazes me.  They shouldn't even be inside the Terminal, much less allowed to get on a plane

Try that at my house these fools will find out you don't bring a knife/ax to a gun fight. What's left gets fed to the dog.  :fuelfire:

I wonder what the DUmp thinks about this . . .
I'm betting they would deny it happened. Its a Rovian plot to justify Denmark's entry into the War on terror.
Muslims are just victims of the west...
and then they would launch into a rant about the conquest of the indians and slavery and quotes from "Dances with Wolves." Others would cry out in anguish as they apologized to the trees.
Finally they would foam at the mouth, falling to the ground writhing in rage, and accidentally roll into their own bonfires and die.

The survivors would blame Bush and call for war crimes tribunals.

Reports: Cartoonist attacker earlier held in Kenya

STOCKHOLM — The Somali man who attacked an artist who depicted the Prophet Muhammad in a controversial cartoon has previously been arrested in Kenya, Danish media reported Sunday.

The Danish intelligence agency PET knew that the 28-year-old Somali man was held in Kenya in September for allegedly participating in plotting an attack against U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the Politiken newspaper reported Sunday.

Citing unnamed sources, it said he was later released due to lack of evidence.

Clinton visited Kenya as part of an 11-day-tour of Africa in August.
