If anyone is looking for a job check out the air ports
I have an interview for a government job at the air port next week. I'm excited about it! I do hope it doesn't end up involving a bunch of nonsense due to all this paranoia. When they called for an interview she was extremely upbeat and eager to have me come in for an interview which has always been a red flag in my mind that the job involves a lot of nonsense. In any case I will be happy to be employed again.
FYI to anyone here looking for a job it looks like all this panic has prompted the gov to start hiring for more positions at the air ports. They got back to me pretty fast after applying for it. So if you need a job it's a place to look.

1. Airport is one word.
You should nail that before the interview.
Ouch.

6. Have you ever wondered why every post I make on DU is edited after posting?
My Mac was bought used and has some kind of auto correct software installed on it. As soon as I post on a forum it runs automatically and makes changes that are grammatically incorrect... and apparently the former user taught it to change certain words to whatever he told it was correct. Either that or it is a virus. I have no idea how to remove it.
Loser.

Research (AKA as "google") what it takes to pass gov't security clearances. They may likely ask if you can pass a certain clearance level or even ask if you've held one in the past. It would be nice to answer them yes or no (truthfully) rather than saying you're unsure.
So much for any DUmmies getting these jobs.

5. Can you tell me more about this?
The listing DOES say that you need to be able to get a security clearance.
I have NO CLUE how one does that. I can tell you I have ZERO criminal history. I have not so much as had a traffic ticket. (literally never) I have perfect credit. They check credit don't they? Mine is spotless.
Do they check anything else?
They'll check everything, and most likely being a member of DU will send up red flags to the guys doing the background check.

Does anyone here know where Twixvoy lives? I'd like to make the TSA office at the local "air port" aware of his political views.

What a dork.

Twix working at an air port?
Thats scary :o
Someone who doesn't know how to turn off a malfunctioning auto spell check is too stupid to look for bombs.

Well, "drug test" is two words. That's a bigger problem for DUmmy TwixVoy.

Good one, Twix! All the DUmp's spelling 'tards could use this excuse!

Agent Mike is everywhere, all the time.
The VRWC does not pay him for sitting on his ass - like a DUmmy.

I am trying to get a state social services job
My state has put up a notice on its social service web site that lots of new social service workers will be hired. I have already applied for one of these positions.
I suppose looking at what is coming down the line these jobs will be in demand for several years. Let's hope I get it!
Let's hope not. This one will be at the job one week and become a whistleblower. Target messed with it's mind.

Most companies are looking for people with a track record as whistleblowers. They help keep everyone on their toes, and promote ethical behavior. And I love it when I interview someone who trashes his previous employer. Shows independent thinking and leadership. I also hate those sarcasm thingies they use at the DUmp.

BUT, would you hire Twix ? :-)
