CNN: Public option may be dropped from final health care bill

Washington (CNN) -- House Democrats are signaling that a final health care bill will drop the government-run public health insurance option favored by liberals but rejected by conservatives from both parties.

A House-Senate conference committee will begin negotiations next month on merging health care bills passed by the Democratic majorities in each chamber.

However, voting in both chambers was extremely close, raising concerns that a compromise might fail to win the necessary final approval.

3. Well, after all, nobody actually campaigned on the public option.

21. No one campaigned on single payer, public option, or repeal of DADT, DOMA

The entire 2007-2008 campaign was an illusion.

It was illusion brought to you by the Magic NegroTM

2. Like there was any hope for it to be included in this reactionary Congress. nt

Harry Reid and Nancy Lugosi are pretty far left.

4. "conservatives from both parties" suck.

I think it was those extreme leftists in the DimRat party that prevented any true reform. YMMV

6. ........because with 60 senators we STILL let the Repukes haul us around

by the neck.........

Okay DUmmies. One more  :censored: time.  The republicans are the minority. They can do nothing without the aid of a few Dims. The Dim party owns this legislation part and parcel.  Maybe that "big tent" philosophy doesn't work so well when you actually have power, because the four corners of the  tent are fighting among themselves.

A few more bitter tears are being shed. They sure are sweet.  :evillaugh:

Then maybe Obama isn't really president.

These ****ing retrds don't even know what it is they're angry about one minute to the next.

One minute they're upset because the GOP has fought the HCR bill

but here's a thread where they're bemoaning the dems passing the HCR bill:

Dear Dog I'd love to hack out their noses with a burning ice pick.

I believe it was Jim Bunning that was with his family.  Something about "a family matter" back in Kentucky.

I was doing some reading not too long ago about Chernobyl and came across this quote:

Quote
These problems manifest as negative self-assessments of health, belief in a shortened life expectancy, lack of initiative, and dependency on assistance from the state.
http://www.ens-newswire.com/ens/sep2005/2005-09-06-04.asp

Now, what they were referring to was the mental health aspect of the Chernobyl disaster and the lack of education for the surrounding populace.  However, it really lept out at me and I think it describes the DUmbasses and their screaming for nanny state health care to a "t".
