Exercise has definitely paid off!

I'm only down one more pound from November 1, but I might be able to clinch my resolution to make it into the 420s by the end of the year. I consider 430 to be part of the 420s so that's just two more pounds released in 4 days. I got this.

I'm going to check out other journals and stuff today, and ride the recumbent as much as I can. Oh, and I have two 6 oz. bags of herb salad mix in front of me which are waiting to be poured into a bowl. Just 80 calories in 12 ounces of salad, and maybe 100 more in 1/4 cup of 3-2-1 dressing. Nice way to get satisfied!

Among other news, the gigantic primitive's bowel movement index (or whatever "BMI" is), is down to 54.0.  Apparently the goal in that's 25.0.  I dunno this stuff.

edited to add link; I can't believe I forgot that

Jesus! He's yo-yoing like crazy. A guy his size should only have -'s and no +'s if he follows the diet and works out.

13 minutes on the bike and he loses 5 lbs over it?

I couldn't lose 5 lbs in 13 minutes if I was being chased by dutch and the rest of the Gay Pride Parade.

Stella, sksamboots, Nancy and debable; thank you all for stopping in and giving me further encouragement. I feel like a bottleneck has just come open on my path to progress, and the journey from here on won't be quite so frustrating.

dawsonpam01, I think you're going to love that rice cooker. Ours is a large capacity one, but it's just a middling model overall. Letha has herself one of the best rice cookers on the market and she's just in love with the thing! I think that by eating plenty of good plan-legal food, you will find your weight stabilizing at a more suitable level.

Well, yesterday was not what I was hoping for. My increasing times on the recumbent did, in fact, lead to some very nasty chafing and even some swelling in -- um -- sensitive areas. We're just doing our best to treat it, and if that has to include taking more days off than I'd like to from exercise to ensure that I don't end up with a really serious problem, then so be it. My skin does appear to be toughening and getting used to it. I want to look into some of that Glide stuff for joggers, but for now we have plenty of Eucerin and that does seem to help.

I've been back on the recumbent today already once, for 20 minutes, and I am planning on getting on it at least one more time today. Jeanette spent last night and the first half of today feeling really lousy, so she ended up calling in at work and staying home. She wasn't up to trying to fix anything, so today we're having veggie subs from Subway for the first time in nearly 2 months. I know, not the best with the bread being refined, but at least I'm to the point now where I'm starting to burn it off.

Tomorrow will resume salads and rice. We can't afford any more Subway, even if I wanted it, and frankly it's not that huge a deal at this point.

No you dumb ass. 430 is [art of the 430's.

DUmmy math and their inability to do something as simple as adding. No wonder that idiot won in Minnesota.

Oh goody--a rice cooker.  More starchy carbs, more high-calorie shit.

His actual 520 isn't part of the 430s, either.

Okay, I was in town getting some necessaries, and since the grain elevator's across the street a little ways from the grocery store, I stopped in to wish the 404-pound 56-year-old guy who shovels grain there five and a half days a week, a happy new year.

I described the gigantic primitive's diet to him.

He says no way that's gonna work.
